when i'm playing online or in a tournament and i find a kid who's starting to tilt, i often egg him/her on in an attempt to draw his/her attention and action as well as tilt him/her further. i find that this strategy, while admittedly kind of annoying, usually wins me a lot of money.i'll lie about my cards instead of showing, talk major shit, and generally be kind of an ass if i think it'll give me an edge. i only do it online, mind you--not in live games, where i actually mind about coming off like an ass in front of people i actually see.i'm not asking if using table talk to gain an edge is ok (i don't care-- it's certainly not cheating and it does work for me), but i'm just curious if others do this sort of thing and whether or not they find that they're paid off in doing so.

I play and do quite a bit of nonsense chatter at tables. I believe it gives me a loose image. I tend to get called down more on the last round of betting when I am typing stupid jokes in the chat box. Of course, I notice it more in PL Draw than in hold em.

I'll do it once in a while. If I'm playing with a noisy fish, I'll definately try my hardest to tilt him. It works unbelievably well and it helps me pay attention to absolutely everything that goes on (sometimes I have trouble with not surfing the web while playing, etc.)

The best time I've found to do it is when someone's made a bad call.. if you laugh at them, and say nice call, this really sends some people off. When ever someone bitches about the way I play, or what I raise on, or any other thing, I just laugh at them, loud and long, and draw their ire.. my goal is to get attention... I find this works best in NLHE, in whichi it allows me to value bet the **** out of people, 'cause no one wants to be bluffed out by an *******..

someone at a table told me the other day that after a year of playing online, they figured out that 'lol' meant laughing out loud.He was wondering why people were getting pissed at him when he would say 'lol' as in 'lots of luck', which he thought it meant.I imagine he used it frequently when someone went all in, as he seemed like a nice dude... but to others, he was laughing at every all in.

to put people on tilt i just type in the chat box "I would rather be lucky than good" works like a charm

I got berated today in a Omaha8/b table. I made a FH on the river to scoop with the low and the high and I was telling the guy I figured he probably had trips but with the low locked up and a possible high I had to call. His response is almost as good as "JOPKE""You just got lucky ass." "I have won more money then you will ever lose."I sat there for a few minutes trying to figure out what the hell he meant by that through fits of laughter.
