Reading various posts I often see people spit out odds in percentages to the hundredth in terms of which hand is favoured pre-flop, or "what if's" looking at possible hands your opponent might have.As I find it hard to believe that these odds are being calculated by hand, and they're often refered to as "simulations", I was wondering what program people use to generate these numbers. Thanks for your time!

Cardplayer.com has a good odds calculatorMost people though just do rough estimates in their head.Say I have an open-ended straight draw with no flush possibility out there. On the flop, there are 8 cards that help me out of 47 remaining-I know five of themA really quick shortcut is to take your number of outs and multiply them by 4 with 2 cards to come, and to multiply them by 2 with just the river to come.So we're about 32% to hit with 2 cards left ~1/3And we're about 16% to hit with 1 card left ~1/6
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
