Villain has been super active at the table. His stats are 51/44 over 45 hands, and he has a 3-Bet percentage of 25%.Basically, this is about the 4th time since I've sat down he's 3-bet someone. You shouldnt be 4betting unless you know what you're going to do if they ship - you 4bet if you think they're gonna call with worse or ship with worse, or as a bluff

Yeah. I'm fine with this logic. I did actually stack off but I didn't feel particularly great about it. I'm 100% sure I'm taking this line with AQ.

This. If you're going to 4bet him with a hand like AJ, then I'd only do it planning to call this monkey's shove. But given how easily he gets his money in, I would probably just call his 3bet here (which is something I almost never advocate) and then feel comfortable stacking off if I hit tp.Mark

If you have AQ against this guy, I would super-snap call. AJ is a bit more marginal, but if the guy is that active and threebetting that much, I think this isn't a terrible spot to ship it in.

There's not many players on FTP $25NL that I would feel comfortable 4-bet/calling AI with AJo. I mean, even if they're 3-betting a lot, over 45 hands it's so so hard to get an accurate handle on whether they're 4-betting light or are just 3-bet/folding loads. Before I commit to 4-bet/calling i'd want to see him showdown a hand that makes it clear it will be the best play. I'd just fold/call depending on how out of line I think he's getting.

That's a really good sized 4bet. Generally you want to 4bet small so that you can 4bet bluff (something you should never do at ($25nl, $50nl, or probably $100nl) and still fold to a shove, it allows you to 4bet big hands and bluffs, to balance your range. Plus once the 4th bet gets in there, people are making a big mistake calling with stuff like KQss, even if they are getting 2.5:1 on the call pf.
