Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

I'd be tempted to take the free card on the turn myself.

Nutcracker, I personally feel it's just too weak to check on a complete blank turn card if you were the last bettor on the flop. I wonder if WRTO or KDawg disagree with that...

Because we have showdown value, we want to bet the turn so we can take the free showdown UI.If we had something like, say, T9 :club: we would take the free card.

In other words, lead the turn because if you don't improve you have a chance to win UI (As opposed to with a T9 where you're almost certainly beat), correct?Another case for betting the turn is that it's a nice way to disguise our hand here. Raising the flop and betting the turn projects something like a top pair or a set that you're trying desperately to protect, NOT a better flush draw (And it obviously worked here, as he apparently figured his K-high flush was good).Nicely done.

Also bet the turn b/c of fold equity & that you could have the best hand at the moment, and you want to charge for flush/ various straight draws.
