Nutcracker, I personally feel it's just too weak to check on a complete blank turn card if you were the last bettor on the flop. I wonder if WRTO or KDawg disagree with that...

Because we have showdown value, we want to bet the turn so we can take the free showdown UI.If we had something like, say, T9
we would take the free card.

Also bet the turn b/c of fold equity & that you could have the best hand at the moment, and you want to charge for flush/ various straight draws.
