PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comBB ($20.25)UTG ($28.80)MP ($43.05)CO ($31.70)Button ($13.80)Hero (SB) ($29.45)Preflop: Hero is SB with 6club.gif, 6spade.gif3 folds, Button calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, BB calls $0.75, Button calls $0.75Flop: ($3) Aspade.gif, 6diamond.gif, 7club.gif(3 players)Just sat down to the table, but noticed that button is a fish (like limping 94s on CO and bluffing with it), no reads on BB yet. My question is how to get max value. Should I check because no one raised before flop (and let the button make a move) or just bet hoping someone hit that Ace?Hero bets $1.75, 2 folds

If we check, it's going to be difficult to get $ in the pot by the river. Just make your standard flop bet and see what action you get. I'm minraising any smallish flop raise and smooth calling a big raise. The goal is getting the $ in on the turn. If our standard flop bet gets smooth called, I'm putting in a 80% PSB on the turn. If we can't stack him, then we shoot for value value value.

Bet $2...if they fold, remember that the next time you flop nothing. You'll get called by an ace...and you may get called/raised by anyone who suspects a continuation bet.

check flop & turn, half pot lead on river.Shove on any bet.
Uh, no, that's how you lose value and let someone catch up to a hand that beats you. Bet for value.
