I have a question regarding how often you should defend your big blind in a limit holdem game. I think that this is the position in which I lose the most money as I play generally tight from other positions. For example, should I complete against an early posn raiser (who would raise with hands like AK, AQ, KQ as well as big pocket pairs) with J9s when folded around to me. If I play this hand and flop top pair, should I bet it and lay it down to a re-raise, check and call or play it to the river if no overcards come?

I'd fold it. It wouldn't be an absolutely ridiculous call though imho. If the raiser is solid I would be very tight out of the blinds (when it's folded to me).
Looks like i picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
