He can be pretty reasonable on the subject of cats.
We are all so complicated, and then we die. We are a subject one day, with our vanities, our loves, our worries, and then one day, abruptly, we become nothing but an object, an absolutely disgusting pile of shit. We pass very quickly from one stage to the next. It's very bizarre. It will happen to all of us, and fairly soon too. We become an object you can handle like a stone, but a stone that was someone.

Jump on in... state what issues you support or don't. That's all I've done.Go here Obama vs McCain and select Obama vs McCain and see which candidate really fits your needs best.I ended up 85% for McCain

McCain's answer on gun legislation:I do not believe we should tamper with the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, and I believe law-abiding citizens have the right to own guns. The right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is a fundamental, individual Constitutional right that we have a sacred duty to protect. We have a responsibility to ensure that criminals who violate the law are prosecuted to the fullest, rather than restricting the rights of law abiding citizens. Gun control is a proven failure in fighting crime. Law-abiding citizens should not be asked to give up their rights because of criminals - criminals who ignore gun control laws anyway. Neither justice nor domestic peace is served by holding the innocent responsible for the acts of the criminal.I completely and totally agree. If this was a position that was remotely supported by Obama I would have a very, very hard time not voting for the man, despite my opinions about his trustworthiness and abilities to adequately function under Congress, whether it's a Democratic or Republican majority. My other main problem with Obama is that he's repeatedly stated that the US needs to lead by example in de-nuclearizing (a word? I do not think so) our military and by spending less on defense, which is a statement I find similar to the idea of showing a good example for your neighborhood watch by leaving your front door open at night. Any policy that involves weakening our military in any way is not something I am in favor of, and I feel confident that a forner soldier like McCain would never do such a thing. So I'm voting for McCain, purely out of a lack of real choice otherwise. I just can't vote for Obama and my guy (Ron Paul) was left by the wayside long ago.

The questions on that are extremely bad and poorly worded to actually let you choose what you really want. If you know anything at all about the candidates, you can easily just go through and agree with the guy you like.

the issue I have with that thinking is that it's blatantly obvious that defense spending is yet another area with too little oversight. handing them a blank check isn't going to make us any safer, and if obama changes the budget structure to make the military more cost-efficient, I am all for it. I don't know if he's said anything to that effect, but I'm just saying.

I think it all depends where you cut it.Like if this were a local thing. I would cut the fucking cops on every single corner in the loop every single day during rush hours who just stand there and tell the cars to go when the light is green. I can't even imagine how much money that wastes!! So if there is a way to get rid of things like that when it comes to the military, then cut away.

a rational, unbiased look at defense spending would lead a person to conclude that it needs accountability and drastic reduction. that's all I am saying. as I have said before, my brother is an officer in the military and even he believes this.

I was not disagreeing with you, but to assume that is what Obama will do is naive. He will take a hatchet to the defense budget.I have said this time and time again. Hire 3 of big CPA firms and have them audit the books of the federal gov and each agency. Then go to the states and do the same - cut off federal funding until the books are fixed. Then go to the counties and do the same - cut off state funding until the books are fixed. The go to the municipalities and do the same - cut off county funding until the books are fixed. This plus line item vetoes get us much much closer to efficiency in government spending, which is an oxymoron.

The same has been done of McCain voters too. Many voters are uninformed, it's not a specific trend for either party or candidate. Just a fact of life and elections that's the same in all democracies/republics. Sad but inevitable.
I disagree, Obama voters are typically much more uneducated in my experience and are simply sheep following the rest of the flock.

That post was so ridiculously biased, I hope no one takes it seriously. Don't look for political information on this forum, all you will get is propaganda and extreme opinions. Next election, try reading the newspaper, watching the debates, and making your own goddamn opinions. Whatever you do, make an informed decision. There is still time to read the policies on a neutral website. The Washington Post has a comprehensive, concise issue statement for each candidate, I recommend you read that and compare it to your personal beliefs:ObamaMcCain

That Washington Post page is direct answers to policy questions, it is as neutral as you will find. What is with people spelling 'ridiculous' as "rediculous"? Is it supposed to be funny, or are these people just ignorant?

I don't know what Obama will do, as I've said many times. I just feel that defense spending desperately needs the hatchet he's going to give it.

The topic on Maury today: "Time to vote! Born men or women?" He has a bunch of 'ladies' in red, white and blue, stood in front of American flags, and the audience is voting for which "candidates" were born male.Gosh, I love Maury so much.
