Approximately 40% of the US population has tried pot at some point. If you really believe it should be illegal, then you believe that 40% of the US population would be better off with a felony on their record. And that 40% of the population has ruined their lives with marijuana.Look, the whole argument is ridiculous. There are too many responsible pot users and too much statistical evidence on the harm of prohibition to pretend that the Insane War on Drugs is anything other than some puritanical moral crusade, results be damned.

Every indication is that prohibition increases drug abuse. I have provided several examples of this. If you believe the opposite, provide one contrary example.
You also provided studies that said being stoned doesn't change your ability to drive a car.How can we believe any of these studies?

The problem is that if we go your route, then the bolded can become exponentially worse for society, but it will be too late to do anything but watch a whole country suffer.

But without data or history to back you up, that irrational fear could be used to justify turning us into a totalitarian country without morals. I would like to think that reality should play a significant part in our policymaking, not just made-up fearmongering.

However, a harsh bump in the road broke the seal on the nitrous system and nitrous oxide has been leaking in to the car. They've just been pulled over] Tell me, officer, do you have any idea how fast you were going? Mike: Well, I got a 426 hemi here, 3/4 cams, nitro boosters, I can get 'er up to as good as 155! Never do, though, of course, unless I'm chasing a cute chick in a Ferrari! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I guess I was goin' about... 65, tops. Motorcycle Cop: SEVEN! SEVEN miles an hour! Like henry asked, can you provide even a single link to any site that agrees with your point of view? I don't understand how posting a link to narcotics anonymous? How does that refute henry or back up what you say?The internets is big, I would think there's a link somewhere.edit: using anecdotal evidence? That's pretty ridiculous even for you. Are you really too lazy to find a single source that agrees with you?

Yes.You take this internet thing way too serious.Plus when you're right as often as me, it's kind of boring to search for other people who agree with you. It's on you guys to try to prove me wrong.so far, nothing has even come close

If all supporting data show that worst case is no change, then it is irrational to be worried about it. You can't keep repeating your irrational fears and suddenly expect us to say, oh yeah, now I'm afraid, too. I know, I know, that how politics works, but I would like to think this forum has a higher standard of thought. Show some data to make us believe.
