rocketpoker828 0
Villain was new to the table, so no good reads...Most opponent at 25NL aren't raising the turn on a draw, so his most likely hand is a set or two pair. I feel like he's pot stuck on the river after his bet, so is jamming the right move here? Also, can we call the raise on the turn profitably?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comHero (MP) ($27)Button ($26.05)SB ($25.45)BB ($25)UTG ($14.90)Preflop: Hero is MP with J, K1 fold, Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BB calls $0.50Flop: ($1.60) A, 5, 8(2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB calls $1Turn: ($3.60) 10(2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $2.25, BB raises to $6, Hero calls $3.75River: ($15.60) Q(2 players)BB bets $8, Hero raises to $19.25 (All-In), BB calls $9.25 (All-In)Total pot: $50.10 | Rake: $
simo_8ball 1
Every part of this hand is 100% standard. You can easily call $3.75 more on the turn with ~10 outs (assuming the 8h+Ah are dead against a set). You've said yourself that his range is very likely to be 2 pair or a set, so why would you consider anything but a shove on the river? The river is super-standard, I think.
Sheiky 0
I would bet bigger on the turn as I think it gets more folds, but then considering when you bet small you can more easily call if he raises I'm not so sure.
trystero 0
I'm not sure this is the best turn to double barrel. Sure we picked up a bunch of equity, but what hand calls OTF and folds this turn? I'd prefer to know something about the player, i.e. he's a peeler who calls lightly on the flop, or a multi-tabling "TAG", and we can blow him off on the turn. I can't really fault you for aggression in position, thoughI bet more OTF too - like $1.
SCS 0
Hand was played fine imo. Turn bet could have been a tiny bit more, maybe $2.75 or $3.
ship 0
dont really hate naything.. any discrepancies in the bet sizing are pretty meh*edit on second though i guess i probably bet more on the turn, maybe like 3ish, but it's still meh def value in a river shovel... if he has a flush he's completely ****ing brain dead retarded - literally (c/c flop & wait to brick to c/r lol - idiot)

But yeah, this is pretty standard. I'd have to have a pretty strong reason not to raise the river.
david_keena 0
IPIS except i think i am leading a bit more on turn closer to 3-3.25. other than that standard IMO

SuperJon 175
guy had 97ss, i cried.Well that certainly explains his actions.Gutshot with FD on the flop. Gets open ended on the turn.Don't worry about the results though, you played it the same way most would.
