It all depends on the line, obviously, but I really like St. Louis at home over Nashville on Friday. They'll probably be the underdogs. I'll put some time in on the Northeastern games when I get to work tonight.

Maybe, but you still agree that the Blues will beat the Predators on Friday, right?
considering how they looked in the preseason, I think we ought to be looking closely at their lines. the public's perception is pretty far off the mark, judging by the number of guys who gave them 27-30 in power rankings.

I do too, I think they'll be considerably better than people think, sneaky team for sure.

Andy Murray teams are notorious for strong starts. Look at the Blues last year and the Kings the year after the lockout. Strong starts, terrible finishes.

Some more random things to consider for early bets:Calgary and Kipper always start slow, and Kipper has not looked good. Calgary might be overvalued for a while.Better the over in any Colorado game seems like a good idea at this point.

I guess it's just O/U lines for right now, don't know why but here's what I like:Toronto vs Detroit:I like the Over (5.5, -105) as Toronto's last 5 preseason games have all been over 6 goals, including 2 against Detroit. Detroit's last 6 regular season games against Eastern Conference Teams went as follows:Sun Mar 2, 2008 Red Wings Sabres 4 - 2 Sat Feb 2, 2008 Red Wings Bruins 3 - 1 Tue Jan 15, 2008 Thrashers Red Wings 5 - 1 Sat Jan 12, 2008 Red Wings Senators 2 - 3 Mon Dec 17, 2007 Capitals Red Wings 3 - 4 Sat Dec 15, 2007 Panthers Red Wings 2 - 5 Figures out to an average of 6 total goals per game. The line for this one is 5.5. Average for the three Leafs - Wings games last season was over 6 GPG (1st game featured 10 goals, 2nd game was a 4 goal SO for the Wings, 3rd game had 5 total goals). More in a bit...

preseason scores mean nothing...Most games are played with back up and sometimes 3rd string goalies. But i dont mind your play.

Yeah but I looked at that, one game vs Toronto was Conklin against Toskala, the other was Osgood against Cujo. Both teams had very close to opening day rosters on the ice for both games.

I actually like the BOS-COL over better. I fear a 4-0 or 5-0 win for Detroit.
Last five against the West for Boston:Sat Feb 2, 2008 Red Wings Bruins 3 - 1 Tue Jan 29, 2008 Predators Bruins 1 - 3 Sat Dec 22, 2007 Blues Bruins 4 - 1 Sat Dec 15, 2007 Blue Jackets Bruins 0 - 2 Thu Oct 25, 2007 Blackhawks Bruins 1 - 3 Boston only had one Western conference game go for more than 5 goals all of last season, an 8-6 spree against the Kings. Last five against the East for Colorado:Sat Mar 15, 2008 Devils Avalanche 4 - 2 Tue Mar 11, 2008 Avalanche Thrashers 5 - 2 Tue Jan 15, 2008 Avalanche Lightning 3 - 0 Sun Jan 13, 2008 Avalanche Panthers 4 - 3 Sat Jan 12, 2008 Avalanche Hurricanes 5 - 4 Colorado's record would seem to support your position that this game will go for 6 or more, add onto that the fact that Colorado's goaltending situation is shaky at very best this year. I like the over for this game as well.

Someone copy and paste the Lines!
Copy/paste translates poorly, which is why I didn't do it before. I bet the following for tonight:1 unit on Vancouver defeating Calgary straight up (+120)1 unit on Vancouver - Calgary under 5.5 (+115)1 unit on Washington defeating Chicago by more than 1.5 (+200)Of the above, I really like my Vancouver bets for the RTE but I haven't checked the Bet365 lines. The Washingon bet is obviously a flier but I feel pretty strongly that Ovechkin isn't getting left off the scoresheet two games in a row and that Washington will be out to make a statement.

So is it safe to assume that pretty much everyone has lost interest in this?
are you serious? its 3 nights into the year! Not me, not at all.site was down and I dont usually find 3 great plays every night anyway.I believe in betting when I see the right line, not just betting cause i got a feeling on a game/team. Sports betting shouldnt be a nightly game, in my opinion.
