I took a look at the rules ... a player could pay, drive all the way out there, and be told "for any reason" that the tournament is off angry.gif or worse ... it is winner take all since the casino has not posted a prize fund distribution list and too few players showed up. blink.gif

The casino can't take a thousand dollar risk and make some kind of guarantee? unsure.gif

Even if I lived next door I would pass ... and given the drive from Toronto ... a definate pass.

That said ... could be a lot of fun and just hideous marketing. Good luck and let us know how you do! icon_biggrin.gif

Wait, $440+$70? What?
So $400 +40 rake +70 admin fee?

Are all live tourny's like this?

Blue Heron runs tourny's, thought about a trip up there soon, figured it'd be fun, but I haven't looked into their rules yet.

The website said 430 +70. So it's $500 buyin with 70 going to the house. Pretty big rip off imo still.
