Dear players,
Duplicate is sadly bidding farewell to its players. Caught in the middle of the global financial situation the company is not able to continue to provide service. We are a small victim of the global financial crisis.
Regretfully as of the today, October 5th, 2008 we are closing our service. We thank our players for being with us. Hopefully at later time and in a better economic climate Duplicate Poker will re-appear.
Sincerely,
The Duplicate Poker Team

Damnit. That was the poker game of skill. I wonder why it never caught on with the masses.
If you don't think the religious right and republicans know what's good for you, you must not love America.

Duplicate Poker spent SO much money on advertising, it's crazy. For a good 6 months they advertised everywhere; it's no surprise to me they went busto.
RPMPoker.com - ask me about getting up to 40% cash back. Games are getting super good!

Between the advertising and the $17 check they had to send me, they never had a chance.

I never really got the concept anyway.
You and someone else at the table were dealt identical hands, right? And the person who won is the person who played their hand the best?

Two or more tables. Everyone in seat 1 at each table gets the same hand, etc. Flop, turn, river are the same at each table. How much you win/lose on the hand is compared with other people in the same seat at other tables.
Supposedly it eliminates luck but that' BS because how you play the hand on your table will depend on the tendencies of the other players at your table and unless they are the same at every table it doesn't prove that someone played it better.
