Been at table for about 4 orbits. I've been quiet except for one hand 2 orbits ago, where I had 1010, called an EP raise PF, raised EP's lead on a 579 board which he flat-called, got c/r allin on turn and mucked. EP is not villain in this hand.I'm struggling mightly on the river. My thinking at the time assumed my hand was best on the turn. Dunno if we have enough stacks to take the bet/fold line.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comUTG+1 ($35)MP1 ($39)MP2 ($225.25)MP3 ($279)Hero (CO) ($197)Button ($221.40)BB ($205)UTG ($87.85)Preflop: Hero is CO with 7d.gif, 8d.gif4 folds, Hero raises to $9, Button calls $9, 1 fold, UTG calls $7Flop: ($28) 8s.gif, ts.gif, 3h.gif(3 players)UTG checks, Hero bets $18, Button calls $18, 1 foldTurn: ($64) 7h.gif(2 players)Hero bets $64, Button calls $64.River: ($192) ah.gif(2 players)Hero?

I think two pair is good here. I see AX-sooted here a lot, thinking that turning their ace makes them golden and seeing them committing to total war with it. A river shove is a good play because it looks bluffy or that we at least think our Ax is good. If the villain has an A, they will find it hard to fold with this action. Plus it gives us an action image, which I love. I discount the back door flush. What hands do they hold by the river that hit the flush?

Vs a good player I like shoving because your line looks bluffier and it looks like you are just trying to rep an ace and they might call you light. Not sure what level the opponent is on, especially since it's full ring.

Any hand better than ours probably bets and I'd pay it off. So checking doesn't save us anything in this case.Any hand as good as a pair of aces calls the river and probably lots of worse hands.A flush draw other than to the nuts might bluff the river if we check. Most of those hands make combination draws that I'd expect the villain to play back with on the flop (my latest thread notwithstanding).I'd shove.

just c/c unless you think he'll pay it off w/ an AsXs / Tx i can see arguements for shoving which i'll probably do a portion of the time, but meh. i can go either way on it
