any thoughts would be appreciated. First orbit of table, So not many reads on Villian other than he has played/raised the 3 hands i have seen him in, the one time he shows down losing top pair low kicker. thank you all. my thinking on the flop (given villains short history) was that he would bet any two card there. I called thinking that he might fold to a raise and wanting to get full value from AA (which backfired obviously). Looking back now though, a flop raise would have been good and would have made it possible to shove to Villains lead on the turn and would have eliminated the need for any river betting.... live and learn

Against the majority of players I'd raise the flop, but if villain bets both the flop and turn with a majority of his range, I think waiting for the turn is fine. It helps having the Ah here. If you didn't have the Ah I'd raise the flop 100% of the time.

Well... if you had gone all-in right off the start...that donkey would have called anyways. Your betting would have triggered most people to put you on a pocket pair but his guy was gonna call anything.Played it fine.... just got donked
