What's the problem here? You can't just let someone draw to the free flush. Hell you can't let some moron with AJo draw to a free straightONLY slowplay hands where there is NO legitimate drawing possibility
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

You have to accept that you're not always going to get paid off on your big hands. You played it correctly, don't worry about it. Thats the perfect bet too, bc you make the flush draws think that they are getting the pot odds to draw. Most players don't consider the negative implied odds they'll be receiving if they miss on the next card. If you get a caller, you'd definitely make them pay to see the river, unless a scare card hits the turn and you're confident he just hit.
The path
of the righteous man is beset on
all sides by the inequities of the
selfish and the tyranny of evil
men. Blessed is he who, in the
name of charity and good will,
shepherds the weak through the
valley of darkness, for he is truly
his brother's keeper and the finder
of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those
who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

As far as I can tell, you bet 19 into a 29 dollar pot 4 handed. There's no need to get cute with this one. In fact, I'd have probably led the pot quite honestly, and I would've made it 10 to go preflop more than likely. I think my line woulda gone like this...Raise to 10....assuming everyone who called 7 calls 10 (A gross assumption, I know)Pot: 41 dollars.I bet 25 or 30 into this one. Big enough that I can push the turn if I choose, and big enough to lure a draw into calling with the mistaken assumption that I'm backing this up with my stack if he hits his flush/straight. If anyone calls, I'm pushing the turn on a blank, probably betting hard even if the flush comes in. There's just too many people at this level who couldn't get off of AK (or unlucky for them KQ) in this situation to back off. Coupled with the 10 outs you've got if our opponent holds the flush. However, if the turn is a T, A, or a diamond, I'm probably not pushing the turn. That would require some first-hand table knowledge to say for sure. Anyone agree/disagree?

i saw him at the riverbank. he was breaking bread and giving thanks. with crosses made of pipes and planks. leaned up against the nitrous tanks.
he said take a hit. hold your breath and i'll dunk your head. then when you wake up, you'll be high as hell and born again.

I disagree, positive reinforcment of proper plays and pointing out mistakes on weak/improper plays is what I seek from FCPer's in the poker strategy forum.I will agree that posting 'look at this hand I kicked ass on' et al is not good, but that is not the case here. We all have plenty of ass kicking and bad beat stories in our closets.
