If your a 70pct favorite to beat someone in general, why take an allin with them at 66/34 ? your giving them the edge.

Because he didn't get there obv.But seriously, I think he just meant that overall villain is a big donkey, but not specifially with this hand. But I could be wrong because I really know nothing about this game.

Once Jamie 3bets the flop, his tp and likely his fd are never good there. This is just a donkey being a donkey imo.

Not his top pair...his 2 pair.Like...hard to put Jamie on KK since no raise preflop and 33 is unlikely as well. Reallu on K7 and 77 have him killed and he does have the FD to fall back on if he is already beat...no?

TBH I am not sure I like his 3-bet on the flop, because generally at these levels, unless you have a read that the Villain is competent, more often a C/R from the SB after BB shows strength is a sign of trips/2pr on that board.Granted once you 3-bet, his call with 2pr is HORRIBLE....but IDK if I can 3bet in that spot without a good read.Did you have any reads on him?if you think he is bad, are you just trying to coinflip with him (at best)?

Jamie's hand was NOT a coinflip he was almost a 2 to 1 favorite, the whole table overplayed hands and let him push them around the entire tournament.

he had a fd too, his play was fine, but it is important to say that he's literally never ahead when i 3bet the flop. he's probably priced in against the range i'd do that with, though. there are a lot of draws that i can have there. the main problem is that if i have a made hand, he functionally has a fd.i'm not flipping with him--i'm a pretty big favorite there, as i knew, fwiw. he had consistently overplayed 2p hands in 4 card games.

I'm a newb to O/8, so critques on actions made in the hand are welcome along with why I made the right or wrong move. Correction of my own lines of thinking are welecome too.I was afraid of 23 on the flop being that it was a limped pot and someone could have some random 23 in their hands. On the turn, the guy lead the flop all of a sudden checks, so I eliminate 23 from his hand. But the overcaller leads all of a sudden telling me that he's either made a low or some high hand. However, in hindsight, a high hand seems less likely because the board's so dry. I wasnt sure of which one it was so i do what i always do when i'm confused - i call.River, same line of thinking - confused = call.PokerStars Game #20639963735: Tournament #109978765, $3.00+$0.30 8-Game (Omaha Hi/Lo Limit) - Level III (50/100) - 2008/09/23 17:46:37 ETTable '109978765 1' 6-max Seat #3 is the buttonSeat 1: JoJo UK (2450 in chips) Seat 2: golferusa1 (2930 in chips) Seat 3: MSLA_Maniac (410 in chips) Seat 4: vitobullets (340 in chips) Seat 5: gfdsa146 (1300 in chips) Seat 6: @m@n (1570 in chips) vitobullets: posts small blind 25gfdsa146: posts big blind 50*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to gfdsa146 [4d Qs Th 2h]@m@n: calls 50JoJo UK: calls 50golferusa1: folds MSLA_Maniac: folds vitobullets: calls 25gfdsa146: checks *** FLOP *** [As Jh 5s]vitobullets: checks gfdsa146: checks @m@n: bets 50JoJo UK: calls 50vitobullets: folds gfdsa146: calls 50*** TURN *** [As Jh 5s] [7h]gfdsa146: checks @m@n: checks JoJo UK: bets 100gfdsa146: calls 100@m@n: calls 100*** RIVER *** [As Jh 5s 7h] [Qc]gfdsa146: checks @m@n: checks JoJo UK: bets 100gfdsa146: calls 100@m@n: folds *** SHOW DOWN ***JoJo UK: shows [Jd 2d 8d 4c] (HI: a pair of Jacks; LO: 7,5,4,2,A)gfdsa146: shows [4d Qs Th 2h] (HI: a pair of Queens; LO: 7,5,4,2,A)gfdsa146 collected 425 from potgfdsa146 collected 213 from potJoJo UK collected 212 from pot*** SUMMARY ***Total pot 850 | Rake 0 Board [As Jh 5s 7h Qc]Seat 1: JoJo UK showed [Jd 2d 8d 4c] and won (212) with HI: a pair of Jacks; LO: 7,5,4,2,ASeat 2: golferusa1 folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 3: MSLA_Maniac (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 4: vitobullets (small blind) folded on the FlopSeat 5: gfdsa146 (big blind) showed [4d Qs Th 2h] and won (638) with HI: a pair of Queens; LO: 7,5,4,2,ASeat 6: @m@n folded on the River

Not his top pair...his 2 pair.Like...hard to put Jamie on KK since no raise preflop and 33 is unlikely as well. Reallu on K7 and 77 have him killed and he does have the FD to fall back on if he is already beat...no?
Reading comprehension ftw. I didn't see 2pr in your post nor did I see it in the HH.Either way, I still think the important part is Jamie's 3 bet, as he's never in good shape with a 2pr/3rd flush hand there.

I raise the turn and c/c the river since it seems like you are freerolling at this point unless you get counterfeited.
This type of play works way better in Stud 8, he shows up there with 42 or 32 more often then you think and with a better draw or high.
