Villain has been splashing around a lot. He might be the only one at the table with a clue. He's still playing wayyyy too many hands, maybe something like 45% but he's comin in for a raise in probably 30% of them and has generally played a LAG game. I haven't seen him 3bet at all, I 3bet him once when he was in hijack and I was in SB, he folded, I didn't show.

I have $240
Villain covers with around $500. (he's only been at the table an hour and has won $300)

I raise QKcc to $15 from EP, call by station donk, call by villain in the blinds.

Flop Qs10d3h pot: ~$45

Villain checks, I bet $35, station donk folds, Villain calls.

Turn Q10310 (completes rainbow) pot: $115

Villain leads $50, Hero...?

I have $190 left. I thought this was an interesting spot for me, it was the only real decision I had to make all night. I think all 3 options are okay, so I'd like some input.

This is the first time I had seen villain donk lead after C/C. In the hand where he raised pf and I 3 bet, he made it $12 and I made it $55 OOP, he gave a speech about how I wouldn't have made a reraise if he made it $15 and he'll remember to raise bigger or some garbage.

heh, can't hurt to offer input, I guess...

I shove, and expect to be called by KJ, or a weaker Q.

$100 to a billionare is not $100 to a homeless woman. there is no natural law saying how much money should be worth to you. i'm not saying you shouldn't have a respect for money, but you should realize that $200 in your bankroll is no longer $200 in your pocket. once it's in your bankroll it should be the $200 to the millionare, that is, that it no longer has any real value to you. it becomes an investment by which to make more money and nothing more. it becomes just a number or an abstract idea of a number.

Don't think i'd ever shove there.... you're likely only getting called by better

The line is weird, guess it boils down to physical read and if you think he's capable of bluffing - If he's lag though I doubt his standard procedure is to check/call with top pair

Call and see what happens on the river imo. Position is power!

I did end up calling for that reason. My thought process was if he has a worse Q he'll likely check the river but I was going to call unless a 9 or A binked on the river (then KJ makes it there). The river was a 9. He bet $75 into $215. I folded.

I probably call the river. His bet looks like a blocker with a worse Q a fair amount of the time.

to me his line leans toward trip Ts and Id fold the turn and save my chips to hammer him later.

He might check call the flop with KJ but I cant see him leading the turn with it. If hes noticed your the only other decent player at the table he has to suspect that hes not getting paid off when a straight fills, so betting 1/2 pot is killing his own odds. He has to lead the turn with trip Ts because he cant count on you to fire into that board for a c/r, and there are a lot of cards that kill his action on the river.

too weak tight?

ipits as OP. On the river you beat QJ only and its the least likely hand he's betting there. And my guess is that this villain would have check raised you on the flop with a QJ.
