I remember last year Crosby delivering season tickets and I remember a couple days ago seeing it mentioned in an article somewhere or someone mentioning it here in the hockey forum or something.

annnnyyyyyyway, the sharks did a similar thing this year. There's apparently 9 season ticket holders who have had tickets for all the 17 seasons of the sharks existence (including the first 2 at the Cow Palace (that's in San Francisco which is like 45 miles away from San Jose). Or at least there were 9 of em that were treated to hand deliveries from such stars as....

Marcel Goc!

Ryan Clowe!

Devin Setoguchi!

Jonathan Cheechoo (ok he's a good one)!

I believe he's not currently in the bay area. Training camp for veterans doesn't start until the 20th (or at least according to the mercury news, the first practice isn't until the 20th).

'stories' with the team are...

mitchell out 2 months with 2 fractured bones in one of his legs means we might see Jeff Friesen back with the club

mclaren not involved in any of the scrimmages due to "organizational decision" aka we want to trade his old ass away to get under the cap

tied with Buffalo, Minnesota, and Edmonton in Win Percentage. I'm impressed with their consistency, ability to stick with it and just keep doing the same thing (believing in the system). I'm not too impressed with who they've played.

Anaheim who is playing like shit
LA twice.
Columbus.

1 goal per game against verage is very good but they're just doing what they should be doing so I'm not gonna congratulate them for that

Friday could be a trap game. Rested Undefeated vs Tired Winless

You're just a naturally negative man aren't you run?

5-0 man, just embrace it and it will happen.

nah. you always see teams get all sorts of praise for win streaks in all sports and people tend to overlook who they're beating a bit. sometimes you hit easy parts of the schedule and you just do what you're supposed to do.

I think they'll win but I think the mood around SJ is it'll be a cinch. it's just the definition of a trap game. the team that's doing everything right and has rest vs the team that can't do anything right who are playing their third game in four nights.

I'm with Run that the Sharks really haven't beaten anybody yet.

That being said, at least they did win those games - Sharks have had a history of starting out slow so I'm glad to see that they came out fast this year.

I see your points. Its obviously way too early to get carried away and no none of the beaten teams are impressive but wins are wins and momentum is great. Defence looks good too and Cheech getting amongst the goals is great.

Local paper says that Goc will play while Plihal is out. Plihal is close to coming back though.
