Iam thinking since we have so many great objective hockey minds we should get together and have an online sports betting account. 10 guys $100 each will give us a starting bankroll of a g-note which we can play with all season than cash out. Iam thinking Dale and Serge are the most trustworthy so if either of would like to open a FCP account at Bowmans we can get an additional 15% new account bonus so were starting with $1150.

As for the betting we can split into 5 groups of 2 with each group covering a five day rotation. We can start with $50 units and as our bankroll increases so do our units. If $100 is too much we can start with $50 each.

If we break this down with each group covering only certain teams we can really roll.

Anyone interested in this?

I'd prolly be in for $100, mostly because I'm a degen. But I'm not good at sports betting.

nice were up to four, long term most people lose because of cold streaks and chasing bad bets, as well as parlays. With different people betting with different knowledge we should avoid these bad streaks. Also betting together with rules we will avoid costly parlays and always keep the same unit plays.

I think the bigger question is how to make the decisions..... some people just want to bankroll and not have input..... and, without being insulting.... some may want to have input that perhaps shouldnt

Well once we get a number of how many people and starting bankroll we than divide into who wants to pick and who just wants to contribute say we have 10 guys that pick games split them into 5 teams of 2. Each day 2 guys step up and give there 2 picks post all picks by 6 pm. I don't want it to be too complicating but if one team really sucks than screw em they lose there picking rights for a month. Also If there is a pick everybody dislikes we can cancel it also no juice higher than -140 for all teams and O/U were not betting enough to play high favs and make money from it.

The bets will be units and all bets will be risk, each team will have its win lose record.

Depending on who can open the account I would like at least one or two other people who the account holder trusts to have the password this way someone is available to place the bets. If all picks are up an hour before game time we have lots of time to chime in on the play. Its a long season so missing a few days is no big deal.

We have enough smart gamblers here to make money.

Once we get a plan in place it will be easy to follow.

You really think Pete Rose didn't bet on the Reds...even if it was never against them?

I will root for yinz guys (<--Pittsburgh Speak) but my involvement will end there. Fantasy sports is the closest I get to betting on sports and I'll like to keep it that way for the foreseeable future.

Serge do you want to be the team captain open the account and place all the bets. Also should we place bets with a different book I like bowmans as I never have payout problems with them.

In for this if we can get it going.

What I think would be cool is a daily post (with poll) with the games for that day incl the odds and matchups. Voting done by consensus - choose to vote on the games that you feel strongly about. If we get more than 50% of people involved picking one side on a game, that gets a unit. If we get more than 75% on one side, it gets 2 units (or some variation of this). I think it could be a lot of fun.
