I believe he had a pocket pair to start with - but I don't know if it is AA or 55 or something in between. How about looking at it in terms of SPR?

Huh? - he's only raising 6% of hands PF - I highly doubt that'd include 79, esp UTGI'm pretty sure i'd call the river assuming an overpair although it is slightly suspect that he slowed down with the straight board and shoved the river when it paired

Nits occasionally get out of line too, but I agree, so really I'm only worried about 99 turning a set that had to slow down because of the four card straight.Even so, the only hand you really should be worried about here is 99, so it's an easy call on the river as you crush the rest of his range.

You really should pay attention to the Bet River stat if you're using a HUD. It will help you out a lot in these situations.I like your flop raise, btw, and you know about the turn.I call, btw. The only hand beating you is a poorly played 99. If you lose to another boat, note that the guy's an idiot and continue

I'd fold river. (I'm posting my opinion mostly so I can be corrected)Name a hand in his range we beat that will take this line? Which hands in his range are check-calling on a 4-card flush board then open shoving when the board pairs? His range is only something like 88+, AQ+. We know he doesn't have AQ/AK. Do you really think he's doing this with tens through aces?

The default is call. Unfortunately, this read makes it a pretty painful call...and actually makes me not hate a fold. In real time, I stll think I call.

River decision became a bit harder because you didn't bet enough on the turn. But that being said, river is a snap call. You crush his shoving range here. Some nits have a policy of never ever folding AA or KK postflop
