I think you could definitely at least call the raise, I think the question is if you should push or not. You have 9 outs to the nut flush. Also any 7, 9, T, J, Q on the turn give you outs to a straight.
Frez 0
I have no idea what those numbers mean....... I think you could definitely at least call the raise, I think the question is if you should push or not. You have 9 outs to the nut flush. Also any 7, 9, T, J, Q on the turn give you outs to a straight. So 9 outs to the flush, and a back door straight draw for another makes 10 outs. That's 1.6-1 to come in by the river. So if you shove your $50 in and CO calls, and BB folds, you're only getting 1.2-1 with $10 dead in the pot. Does Hero have enough fold equity to make up the difference? If BB will get it all in too, you're in great shape - but I would never count on that.
bdc30 0
I don't think calling is an option here. If you flat and BB shoves you have no choice but to call, but if he flats as well and your flush hits, you're probably not getting paid off.Depends I guess on your level of gambool. Why aren't you 3betting this preflop? I would be.
ROBBBIGG 0
you're not closing action, so this is prob a fold
BudBundy 0
I don't think this is a push or fold situation. In position i am almost always flat calling this no matter how donkish it looks. After we call , BB will be getting 4 to 1 to call and i think he will be calling most of the time. That way we get better odds for our flush draw.We are in position. Pushing takes that advantage away. On turn , If board pairs you will always save $35. If a spade comes , you will still get paid by lower flushes , sets etc plenty of the time. Also sometimes you will be getting a free river card depending on the turn action.I think by calling you will lose the minimum everytime and still win the maximum plenty of the time.I suck at math tho so please don't ask me to mathematically prove these cus i can't lol

ROBBBIGG 0
also, if we repop with those hands we can also repop with our aces and not give away our hand. oh, and people play back at you WAY harder if you 3 bet from the button a bunch, to the point where you get an all in call on QJT by QJ/Q10

Frez 0
Well, I didn't want to mention this earlier and influence the discussion, but I think having position is a good reason to 3-bet PF.
timwakefield 69
Meh, looks like a fold to me. I think it's wishful thinking to expect the BB to come along if we call this - he led out for 1/4 of the pot, and got raised by a factor of 6. Even with a caller in front of him it's 25 more bbs to call and he's very OOP. If we flat call that says what - that we have either the nut spades or maybe a big straight draw perhaps with spades as blockers. So maybe we can get a free card once in awhile when a straight card turns and villain gets scared (if, of course, it didn't make him his hand...), but I just don't see the value in calling a $15 bet into a $10 pot holding a flush draw.
