Maybe the writer's strike fu cked it up a little bit, but I have a feeling Jeremy Piven only got funnier.

You mean, season 4 didn't do that?

He's character pretty much lost it for me during the "I miss Vince" phase.
I don't think it's quite official yet. At the moment I'm still vaguely interested in the new season...my bet is that a few episodes in I'll actively dislike the show. I hope I'm wrong.

The best thing that came out of the "I miss Vince" phase is the fact that he and Lloyd spent more time together...and Lloyd is the man.

I just hope they dont try to hard to make it what it used to be. It isnt that show anymore. The characters have changed. Just keep going. Take these people where they are going, make it funny, and end it when it should.

I mean...will you at least concede that there's a chance that the changed characters and the places they're going aren't nearly as entertaining as what the show used to be? That's all we're saying. It's fine for a show to evolve, but sometimes (like in this case) it's done poorly.

Yes, I will. And you are right, it isnt as good as season 1 and 2.
But it is still better than 99% of television.
Thats all Im saying. We can nitpick it, or just accept that most shows hit their peak in seasons 1 and 2.
Except for 'The Wire'. The Wire peaked at the end of season 4.
