antistuff 0
here is my version of the storyFull Tilt PokerPot Limit Omaha Ring gameBlinds: $0.50/$15 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $229.25CO: $20Button: $108.55SB: $41.40Hero: $130.75Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with A 3 A 5 UTG raises to $3.5, 3 folds, Hero raises to $11, UTG calls.Flop: 9 Q 9 ($22.5, 2 players)Hero checks, UTG bets $18, Hero raises to $76.5my problem - i think he raises that flop without a nine just the right amount. i also think i've flipped my hand over to him the way i've been playing (bundy and then him to my left turned me into a weak tight nit). this makes it easier to raise without a nine cuz he knows im not taking bare aces to the felt. simo_8ball 1
I thought you probably had AAxx, but then I thought why would you turn aces into a pure bluff? Raising AAxx there is like raising total air because of the range I call with. You're risking $130 (well, $76) to win $40. AA9 was a strong possibility, as was a hand like AKQQds or AAQQ.I don't think the raise is bad really, I just didn't understand why you would be bluffing that board.
bdc30 0
He doesn't realize he was bluffing it. I think he was using the same logic as his AAxx hand the other day that he posted where he'd 4bet preflop. Pot and stack size considerations make this a totally different situation. I really wish that he hadn't posted his hand though, I think I could have nailed your insta-snap-shoving over him.Fwiw, in the experience I've had playing plo with simo, it usually doesn't end well ;)Pushing aces on this flop, especially without diamonds to fall back on, is horrible. antistuff 0
does he not raise my flop bet 100% of the time? or damn close to it? i was not 3 betting preflop. i was hardly raising preflop. i flipped my hand over. how do i defend against turning my hand up?my other though was also along the lines of he needs a boat to call here even with just a nine i wouldnt bluff him here. bdc30 0
Some equity calcs. This seems like either a slightly ahead or waaay behind situation. You're flipping against an oesd40/60 dog to same with diamondsIn terrible shape against a 9Only slightly ahead of naked diamonds with no pairfwiw no, I don't think he raises you 100% of the time, but if you think that's a concern, just check back the flop. The pot is tiny compared to stack sizes. Play pot control with position. Having played with simo, I can lead pipe lock guarantee you he does NOT need a boat to call/shove here. simo_8ball 1
FWIW I never fold A9xx here.I thought AA9x was a big part of your range, and as such I'd be a fair way behind really.
bdc30 0
Simo, I don't think you're in nearly as bad a shape as you think if he has AA9x, and the added chance that he doesn't have that makes this a very easy call/push I think.Simo's Hand vs. AA9x
antistuff 0
FWIW I never fold A9xx here.I thought AA9x was a big part of your range, and as such I'd be a fair way behind really.one thing though, am i crazy or do you raise my pot size bet on that flop with any four a whole lot of the time?well, even if you don't. lets assume somebody who does. whats the plan? i figured i got you to put some in, now you're going to fold most of the time. once in a while you will have a 9. cest la vie. i was talking to somebody on aim and they said if thats my read why dont i bet/3bet and go to the felt that way. i dunno though, since when he has a nine im crushed and he can have lots of things that can call that im not far ahead of maybe against a player like that i need to check/fold? he would have to be bluffing an aweful lot to make up for it. bdc30 0
Why check/fold? You have position and he checked to you. Take a free look at the turn and see what happens.
antistuff 0
Why check/fold? You have position and he checked to you. Take a free look at the turn and see what happens.he has position on me.im sure we can figure out an optimal bluffing frequency plus he goes down with any 9 and and of the hands you ran that are close to mine. for some reason i have a feeling that he would naturally hit this on me here. bdc30 0
Oh my bad, I was reading his OP looking at positioning. This is why we only put one player's hand in posts...lol

BudBundy 0
since we're gonna be new buddies on the tables you oughta know...im ****ing crazyTo be honest , you brought some good action to the tables. Big pots draw attention and more players want a piece of the action , even the passive nits . So it means more crowded and bigger pots , more mistakes.I officially welcome you to Fulltilt $100 Max PLo Tables.

ROBBBIGG 0
antistuff knows whatever stats i run at, but i think at 50 and 100plo i'm probably a pretty aggro and spewy player. at my own stakes, i suspect i get a lot nittier.we all should def. play more together and do more railing. i know talking to simo and antistuff has helped my game a ton, both of which are likely as good or better than me and should be playing 400plo and gambling it up with the 10986single suit.
