Deep into the PokerStars $15,000 guaranteed tournament. Blinds 200/400, ante 25.Hero has 21,000 in chipsVillian has 14,500 in chipsHero is button with A :D A :spade:Folded to MP2 who limps, folded to CO who limps, Hero raises to 1200. Folded to MP2 who calls, CO times out and folds.Flop: K :D 8 :) 4 :spade:MP2 bets 2800. Hero calls. One of us is pushing all in on the turn. I'm convinced he doesn't have the flush.Turn: 2 :heart:MP2 goes all in for 10, 500, Hero calls.MP2 turns over 4 :) 5 :club:River: 5 :diamond:This essentially knocked me out of the tournament because blinds went up after that (as did the ante). I was knocked out when my AQ ran into QQ.

Yeah, I considered it. But I felt that if I pushed back, he would've folded. I felt that I was way ahead here and I could extract more chips from him. I figured he'd have to hit a miracle card - unfortuantely I was right. :?

You have to re-raise on the flop do you not? You have the case ace...No way he is calling your re-raise with only a pair of fours to that flop...

A "case" card is the fourth card of a rank. The case ace is irrelevant.

The "case" ace is the ace of spades for this example. Am I crazy to think that I am using the correct terminology here...I am not disagreeing that if there were three 7's on the board and you had the last 7 you would have the case 7...if I'm wrong about the terminology, so be it, but my point about re-raising still stands

http://www.seriouspo...onary.html#callScroll down.It can also mean the only card that can help someone's hand. If I have J :D 10 :) on a board of A :D A :D K :) 2 :club: , and my opponent has A :club: A :club: , the Q :club: is the case card.EDIT: OP's opponent would need the A :club: for it to be considered a case card.
