I think you played it well. It certainly looks like he has the Ace of spades but if you don't know the player as the nittyst player ever, you have to call the turn and river. The board pairing sucks too, because now you can't beat a flopped set either.I don't think you could play it any different unless you had a dynamite read of the player.

why did you choose to lead the flop instead of going for a C/r? It sucks he got the nuts on you, though. Id play it similar. wouldnt fold Ks.

CM has more reads than we can imagine. For the sake of discussion, I'm pretty sure he wants us to assume it is against an unknown.=================Overall, I like how it was played. I could go either way on the flop, and I don't think it matters a ton, because lots of bets will go in due to the pf action.The turn is a bit interesting. I like keeping the lead, but it sucks when he raises. I probably puke-call down, but antistuff makes a decent point about folding the river, and that's something to consider.

Looks fine to me.

One of my doubts was actually whether or not I should lead this turn.Clearly in all normal situations, this is an obvious lead with the 2nd nuts.But this particular hand was capped 5-way preflop.So I am imagining a lot of Aces in my opponents' hands.And anyone with the A is certainly still with me on the turn.Point: The presence of that dreaded Ace seems much more likely than it normally would.

- My goal is to get as much in on the flop as possible.- I don't see much downside to the flop lead. No one is going to be scared of my bet and slow down. - Check Raising always shows more strength. So it could possibly slow someone down and convince them not to raise.- I see no reason to risk allowing the flop to get checked through; however unlikely that may be.- I don't see much benefit in the CR here.

Reads are my life I spend more time recording reads than on contemplating my own decisions.But I leave them out here for a couple of reasons:- When I have a read, my decision is usually very simple and straightforward. I rarely desire advice in those situations.Consequently, hands against unknowns are much more interesting, in my opinion.- I have been logging hands into my personal computer over the last 18 months. The hands I post now are likely from early 2007. The reads available at that time are no longer with me.Thanks for the tips.--cm
