It looks like there's a Venom movie in the works. Now I am a Spider-Man fan and also love Venom, however not sure if a movie about a villain will work unless he's depicted as an anti-hero..

anyways, here's the link..Venom

I actually just rewatched Spider Man 3 again and then I saw about this today. I was under the impression that he (or it) died in the third movie, so my question is would it be Eddie Brock who is Venom or would that black stuff crawl on another person and they would become Venom?

Well, I imagine it would be the carnage story line, and I think it would be a profoundly terrible movie.

There's also a precedent for a bad super hero movie making a spin off....

When I was like 8, the Maximum Carnage books obliterated my crotch region, and even in current context I have no reason to believe they weren't at least cool for a mainstream-type thing, but you're right, 2 hours to take Brock from ordinary low-life to conflicted hero, develop Cassidy into everything he should be, and then have them fight for long enough to justify the $70 you just spent to take the kids -- it would require so many shortcuts and nuderitory rewrites that it would be a train wreck.

the only way that they would make it compelling what so ever is to make it rated R, and have carnage just lay waste to half of new york.

It could bring tentacle rape porn to the mainstream, and really, isn't it about time for that?
