custom36 5 Posted May 11, 2005 Share Posted May 11, 2005 Alright, for those of you that actually read this forum, I just want to say that I deposited at Bodog for the first time and I absolutely love it!. Initially I had some technical software problems (I run Windows ME and had to dload updates), so I called their customer service. I was on hold for 5 seconds while they transferred me to the department that could help me best. Both reprsenatives I spoke with are American. That was a great feeling and they are very good at what they do.I deposited $265 and instantly got my 20% deposit bonus. The software is very clean and very quick. Really no loading time to speak of and it's, quite honestly, the best looking poker room I've seen.I quickly sat in on a $50 NL game and went to work. While most flop %'s are around 50%, almost everyone that plays here is loose/passive. There was a 3-person all in at my table with one person having Q-10 offsuit, one having 8-8, and one having A-6 offsuit. The Q-10 took it when the 4th spade hit. I took a beat when I flopped the 2nd nut straight and then one of the cards I had hit the board and I had to fold my hand, having the lowest end.I have yet to try the tournaments (it's 2am, give me a break ), but there are usually no more than 100 people in a tournament and apparently there are huge overlays. I can't wait to get in a tournament with these people.I can see why Josh Arieh endorses Bodog - it's amazing. I really don't want stiffer competition there, but I figure that for those of you that actually read this forum, you may want in on this. I am not an affiliate and I don't have any codes to promote. I looked at the site, looks like there is a refer a friend bonus.As long as I still get the 20% initial deposit bonus, then I don't mind being referred if you want the "refer a friend" bonus.Looks like they don't take firepay though - makes it just slightly more difficult.
