Playing four handed $3-$6 on Pokerroom tonight. Get dealt 10-7 on the button. Player 1 new, Player 2 is tight, Player 3 is loose, aggressive, and generally all over the place. Player 1 folds, 2 calls, and 3 doubles it to 12. He had been jamming a lot of pots and showing his pre-flop bluffs, he was the big stack. I call (yes a little loose, but did not believe him and on the button), Player 2 calls. Flop 10,7,7 rainbow. Bells in my head obviously. Player 2 checks, Player 3, as expected, bets 18. Since I wasn't sure what he had, maybe he woke up with a high PP this time, I re-raise to 36. Player 2 thinks for almost the whole time, says "Great hand, horrible flop" and folds. Player 3 re-raises me to 72, about half what I have left, so I gladly push all in. Turn comes A, river A. He flips over A-K and takes down a monster. Player 2 swears to me that he had A-K as well. What are the odds of him catching the last 2 Aces in order to bust me? Yes, he is on my buddy list, but not helping me out much right now.[/img]

I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to buddy list you either. Pre-flop call wasn't "a little" loose, it was horrible. Even if you didn't believe him, this isn't a hand to gamble with. Not only that, your read was wrong and he did in fact have a hand (though he clearly overplayed it post-flop).Odds on catching runner runner aces in that spot would be 989 to 1 I believe, though those weren't his only outs since he could also catch running kings to win.

First of all, you should say that this is a NL game, because the bets confused the **** out of me. Secondly, saying "I did not believe him" doesn't justify calling with a hand that only beats nine high or worse. He could have J-2 and he's still ahead. If you want to sound like you have a clue, you should at least say you felt that you could outplay him, not that you didn't believe him. This makes you sound like a fish.
