Nikki isnt a shrink, but she does give some damn good advice on life, love and dating. If you are having issues with those, Ask Nikki!

i agree. if you have problems but you are too much of a tightass to pay for a real shrink, nikki is your best option.

well i definitely agree that nikki is quite wise in the ways of the world, i really don't think that she's going to be able to help me deal with what i'm going through. but i definitely appreciate any acknowledgment of this thread at all.

Sounds like you already have the meds though.
Pull up a chair.
Who told you to take the diazepam?

I think what you're looking for is a psychologist or a clinical therapist. Psychiatrists, for the most part, are diagnosticians and talk with you only to identify your illness and to diagnosis and monitor drugs. As actual medical doctors, very few Psychiatrists practice therapy or are particularly good at it. Stuff like the Sopranos, where a Psychiatrist performs psycho-therapy and prescribes drugs are extremely rare.
So unless you're trying to get on Xanax or something, you're probably looking for a therapist, unless you're actually trying to diagnosis your potential condition.

Thanks for thinking of me you two!
For actual psychological illnesses, or suspicions thereof, I'd totally tell you to see a trained physician/counselor of some sort. I'm sorry you feel like that's not something you can do, financially. If you are affiliated with a university, they often have free counseling that is done by students but overseen by doctors. Even if you're not a student, a nearby college may have some type of community outreach available to you.
You crack me up.
