hi, i'm just clearing a bonus and thought i'd try multi-tabling omaha 8/b at $0.5/1. i just hate multi-tabling low-limit hold'em and the bankroll in this account is too low to play anything else.here are some hands i'm not sure how to play:1. AAxx - raise from any position, or if the pot looks to be multi-way, just raise if the position, low or suits are good?2. 234x - playable from most positions or only from late position, or not at all, since it has little to know high possibilities.3. a specific hand: AA36 with one suit. 6-way pot, i'm in the bb, i raised - right play?4. another specific hand: A-4-10-Q, flops 4-8-10 with a backdoor flush draw, in small blind and $3 pot. do i continue or just check/fold?5. posted on the button, raised in front of me - pot looks to be about $5.50-$6 not including me. i have 4-7-7-k double suited. do i call the raise? only attribute is the suits, and thr 7-high seems useless or nearly.6. A35x - how playable is this?i usually fold A3xx but play A3s in position. i'll raise it in late position if it has other attributes. it seems in pots that are 4 or 5 way or more, A3 ends up usually being quartered, so am i overvaluing it?thanks for any help. had my first session today, up about 21bb in 178 hands. hit a lot of cards, but also split my 3 biggest pots (identical straights or boats) and nearly all of my small pots seemed to get rivered by a weak low split.i do have a moderate idea how to play, i think i am pretty disciplined at laying down weak draws, and i'm learning. what kind of win rate can i expect at this game? thanks, daniel

Someone feel free to correct me if my analysis is incorrect. I'm more of a casual player; but I've read alot. You should check out the Omaha hi-lo section in SS2. Its been awhile since I read it though........but I'll give this a shot. Akishore also write a good Omaha hi-lo primer; but I'm far too lazy to go find it.

hi, i'm just clearing a bonus and thought i'd try multi-tabling omaha 8/b at $0.5/1.  i just hate multi-tabling low-limit hold'em and the bankroll in this account is too low to play anything else.here are some hands i'm not sure how to play:1.  AAxx - raise from any position, or if the pot looks to be multi-way, just raise if the position, low or suits are good?AAxx isn't a bad starting hand at all if the "xx" are low cards. Middle cards are the death of you in this game. AAxx double suited-also a great hand. If your simply raising with AAxx with no low possibility? Your raising to narrow the field. Raising if you know nobody is going to fold is simply spewing chips. AA is a hand that can stand up on its own with a smaller field (HU ideally).  Think about what your raise is going to accomplish: If you have AAxx with a good low draw, and also double suited? Raising may not be the best play if its going to narrow the field. You want as many people in the pot as possible to pay you off if you hit.  2.  234x - playable from most positions or only from late position, or not at all, since it has little to know high possibilities.I consider this playable from late position depending on the action so far in the hand. Debatable though3.  a specific hand:  AA36 with one suit.  6-way pot, i'm in the bb, i raised - right play?AA36 all one suit? No, I wouldnt raise with that hand. A3 only gives you the nut low if a 2 comes out. Otherwise your drawing to the second low which often times will lose.  Its also not a great high hand. 4.  another specific hand:  A-4-10-Q, flops 4-8-10 with a backdoor flush draw, in small blind and $3 pot.  do i continue or just check/fold?Read dependent. Large pot? I'd probably check and fold. Especially with a small pot. Your beaten by sets and better two pairs. 5.  posted on the button, raised in front of me - pot looks to be about $5.50-$6 not including me.  i have 4-7-7-k double suited.  do i call the raise?  only attribute is the suits, and thr 7-high seems useless or nearly. If I'm last to act and only have to call that additional bet? I call it. If there are people left to act I probably fold6.
Take it all with a grain of salt man. Someone else can probably give a bit b etter analysis than me. Hope this helps.
