winkerk 0
My 4th Street plays looks even worse this morning. It is bad, right? Same problem on 5th?I'm pretty sure I corrected it on 6th. Yes? No?I fear my 7th street check is weak. Maybe it's right. Not sure. Any thoughts? These are the problems I've noticed. There could be more. Let me know what you think. Thank you. Oh, No real reads. The guy who goes to showdown with me was new to table. Maybe 5 hands. potatoman 0
I think your instincts about what you did wrong are correct. Bet fourth, bet seventh - IMHO.
KingJames 11
Raise 4th and Bet 7th... the check on 7th from both of them are most likely shows of weakness, not an attempt to C/R
Metternich 0
I'm a new player, so if I can use this as a chance for some advice that would be great.I understand/agree that we should bet the river, but I don't understand a raise on 4th. When someone pairs their door card isn't that a sign of great strength? Of course, hero has a really strong hand also. But what do we do if we're 3-bet? We can't really fold. Do we just call down? What if we're 3-bet and it's checked to us, do we still bet for value?I guess I just get nervous when door cards pair, it seems like this could be a set a fair amount of the time. That should really give me less reason to fear trips, I think. If I get reraised, I guess I'll know he has the case 8. I'm probably not good enough to get away from it anyway. I certainly wasn't last night.

Biff Goods 0
the reason we are not worried about the 8 pairing on 4th is because this guy raised the bring in with an 8 showing early with a J, K and Q showing. Then when the K re-raises him he just flat calls. This seems like a weird play. Like 10's with an 8 showing. When he pairs his 8 and a 3rd 8 hits the other board you want to raise his bet on 4th street for a lot of reasons. 1. it is half a bb to get some information on exactly what you are up against. 2. If he has a hand like 10 10 8 8 you are gonna get an extra bet in with the best hand. 3) if he had some random hand like 3 clubs or 8 9 10 you price his draw. if he happens to be rolled up or has a hand like AA (8) which we don't really give him credit for since he didn't cap 3rd it will be pretty obvious by raising 4th. as played bet 7th

Nice 5th post. You have some thoughtful information here. That he didn't cap 3rd is why I didn't put him on AA8 too. Doesn't he have the best hand on 4th if it's TT88, I know my hand is still good here, but his is better at that point. At 7th, I now agree that my check wasn't good. I guess with Aces up or kings up I should lead at it here. Is there a point where two pair shouldn't lead at this on 7th like nines up? Anyone have any thoughts on that.
