LOL @ checking FCP and this being the first thread 
I should probably go on the record again since I've been making fun of him lately: During our wsop run together, he was never a douche in front of me. He was just a cocky kid. After I busted I went out to eat and celebrate with my friends, and when I heard he won I was happy for him because I thought he was the best player left at the table by far.
Only when our episode aired imo did he come off like a douche, but if you're going to confess to being lazy, never reading a book, and playing poker in your underwear all day, I think that is justified. Most of my friends can't stand him because he acted like I was a moron for shipping KJ on him when he was celebrating with his friends after busting me. I never saw that in person. After I busted and all his celebrating was over, I had shaken all the players hands and whatnot. They were getting seated back at the table and I made a point to go over to Brandon and tell him something to the effect of: "Good luck, IMO one of the two of us deserve to win this bracelet so I hope that you close it out now"
A few people like JC and Hoosier (I think) have told me they've been around him and his crew on the tourney circuit and he's fine. My only interaction with him since the wsop was playing at Commerce together once. We were seated right next to each other, and I tried to make conversation with him the entire session and he just seemed kind of miserable and wasn't really into it, even though I was nothing but super friendly to him.
So, those are my thoughts. I make fun of him on FCP because obv a lot of people here are my friends and naturally aren't going to like him, but mostly I think he's just a cocky kid who is full of himself much more than he's a douche. But if I hadn't had to work very hard and had the kind of success that he's had, I probably would be too

If you call Cantu a douche, what are you going to call Micon? It's a serious pecking order thing, this insult tagging. Micon is clearly a douche, Cantu appears to be working on it, but he actually may require a different tag.

He is just the guy that FCP likes to hate. Everything competitive has good and bad guys, Cantu just fits perfectly into the "bad guy" role.
