Ok im in late position of a tourney...blinds are 30/60 and i get dealt pocket kings. I have about 1800 by this time. Its raised to 200 so i smooth call...there are 4 others in the hand. Flop is 456....3 people then proceed to go all in in front of me...one for 300 one and 2 for 1k....What should I have done? Ill post what I did after i see a few responses.

Easy fold. Next time, pop it up preflop. Make it $500 or so, with the intention of pushing all in on any flop.

I'm guessing one might have aces, probably another pocket pair out there, and someone likely hit a set? Maybe some idiot even hit a straight, I dunno...this might be a situation where you can lay it down without losing much, and not having to take a big risk that would cripple you.

I would have reraised all in preflop. It seems like none of the players in the hand could have busted you if they called, and with 4x200=800 already out there, KK is a good hand to try and just pick up the money in the middle already.Saying that, I would still have called the all in of 1000 more. You are probably behind, but there is no hand (besides a str8), that you are drawing dead too and the pot is now over 3000. If you lose you still have 800 and with blinds at 30/60, I would risk it because you still have time to come back.

Hard to say without knowing the buy in of the tournament, the types of players that had gone all-in, etc etc.If I'm in a larger buy-in MTT, and I was up against players who I respected, I would fold after three all-ins in front of me....I would fold as fast I possibly could. Patrick

yeah...what they said...horrible to smooth call in this situation, especially tournament, you want to eliminate as much risk as possible, cash...now thats another story, but I still probably would have rereaised tourny or cash...alot

I'm sorry, but that is very flawed tournament strategy. He's getting at best 4-1 to make the call, and the odds to hit his third king are not even close enough to that to warrant a call. To say you are probably behind, but make the call anyway is not showing an understanding of the value of your chips in a tournament. Try Sklanksy's TPFAP. You should be protecting your chips at all costs, not throwing them away.Patrick

Preflop...make like Humberto Brenes and get your all-in dance readyThere's too many people in the pot not to
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

I was assuming that he was the first preflop caller of the $200 raise, and the button or CO and the blinds stayed in. If there was a caller or 2 before you, easy push preflop. If it is just the raiser before him though, I stand by my earlier line.

First, dont smooth call pre-flop. Thats what put you in that flop situation.Second and not related to your play... I'm kind of laughing because this is like the third or fourth pocket Kings thread in the last few days. Are pocket Kings really that hard to play?

I would have raised too about 600 preflop.

I agree with everyone else on the pre-flop play. You really should have re-raised there and eliminated some of the other players. I also agree with PMJackson on the fact that we need a little more information. Is this a live game? Are these solid players or very loose? Is it a low buy-in online game? I've seen plenty of idiots call a raised pot with 7-3O or something equally idiotic, so I might be a little more scared of the straight online (7-8 suited or maybe 7-3 depending on the circumstances). In a live game or a higher buy-in game, you can almost be certain that one of the three players has a set. I'm going out on a limb, but I would say one has a high pair(qq, aa), and the other is on a straight draw(something like A7 suited). In other words, I would fold that hand without hardly thinking about it.
