SuperJon 175
Villain hasn't been at the table too long (6 hands), so no reads. After going over everything, I believe I played it a little too passive at the end. I am still learning on how to play these sort of hands...1. Should I have led out on the river?2. After his bet on the river, am I supposed to raise my 8 eight flush? How much, and do I fold to a shove?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)MP ($2.89)Button ($2.99)SB ($3.33)Hero ($4.31)UTG ($2.56)Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 , 7 . 1 fold, MP calls $0.02, Button calls $0.02, SB completes, Hero checks.Flop: ($0.08) Q , J , 3 (4 players)SB checks, Hero bets $0.06, MP folds, Button calls $0.06, SB folds.Turn: ($0.20) 9 (2 players)Hero bets $0.2, Button calls $0.20.River: ($0.60) 4 (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $0.1, Hero calls $0.10.Final Pot: $0.
KoRnholio 2
I've never understood why people bet with the worst hand, and then check/call the best hand.
SuperJon 175
I've never understood why people bet with the worst hand, and then check/call the best hand. That's why I posted the hand. For help.
ChuckP 0
If are you a check raising kind of player than you at least have to raise the river. Your river play just baffles me. The only hand that can beat you is a ace high, king high, or the ten high flush. Either bet the river or raise after he bets. Maximize your profits on the river.
ABigMotivation 0
If your going to bet the draw, you have to bet/raise the river.
Metternich 0
Almost any time someone bets 1/6th the pot I'm raising them, just a general principle. ATC.Here I'm popping it to at least .50 and willing to put it all in if the villain will. At this point we're looking for value, if we lose here it's a cooler.
