Greetings all,When I play online I play at Pokerroom.com because it's the only site that I've found so far that is Mac friendly. (No downloading of software that then needs to be run under Virtual PC, blah, blah, bllah) Does anyone here have any thoughts on that site? Does anyone else here (who uses a Mac) prefer another site? How does everyone feel that Pokerroom stacks up against the other sites?cheers

I played PR for a while. I liked the promotions over there as I think they have some of the best around. That being said, I never could really figure out why not many people play over there. I made about a grand over there in about 6 months and I decided to switch to Party Poker and made a grand in a week. Either I got a real nice run of cards or the players over at PR are better than the usual.

I just bought an I-book and Im not going to have my pc in about 2 days anymore ,.. does this mean I can only play in PR?? I wanted to play in Poker Stars because of the pros and this Forum's tuesday Tourneys.. does this mean that I cant play there?? also I still have like 20 bucks on Party should I just put them all on a multi table or do I have a chance of playing this site on my MAC?? I had no Idea that these poker programs dont have MAC software THAT SUCKS!

Welcome to the Apple universe. It has it's +'s and -'s. We have to jump through hoops to play online poker or get video games, but on the other hand there isn't a single documented virus so far for Mac OS X.You can use the software at these sites, but you have to run it under Virtual PC which, while being stable enough, isn't exactly the optimal way of doing things.

I've been playing at Pokerroom for about a year now, and recently began playing at Hollywood Poker.com. I think they are actually the same site w/ 2 different names - the only thing different are the color of the GFX. That being said, I still think it's a good idea to play on "both" sites since neither lets you change your username.

i have a powerbook and didn't know about pokerroom until AFTER i had bought Virtual PC. i started on party then moved to stars...really like it there--great tournaments! i had a few problems in the beginning with VPC...crashes, etc., but now it runs seamlessly. of course it would be better if these sites supported mac, but until they do VPC seems like the best bet. dave.

hollywoodpoker belongs the the same network as pokerroom.com.I started with $25 2 dayz ago and cashed out $100 a few hours ago back into neteller after i earned my $5 bonus bucks...hehe.But the reason i'll probably dump my $100 into pokerroom is becuz there was virtually no traffic at hollywoodpoker...the hollywood tables were completely empty! All the traffic were at pokerroom. Also hollywood don't have freerolls.
