AimHigher 0
I was just wondering what the formula used to generate the values for the pushbot chart is?Assuming we know what our hand's equity is against their calling range?
copernicus 0
I don't think it was a formula per se. It would have been an iterative process, similar to the process they used at U of Alberta to generate hand rankings. Test each hand against all other hands at a given blind level, eliminate all of those calling hands that -EV except a few, test again, elminate and so on, until you find the best strategy against that hand. Do the same thing at each other blind level until you find the largest blinds that make pushing barely +EV against the optimal strategy

copernicus 0
So how do we calculate the EV of a shove?Straightforward EV, since its all in P(win)*(bet+blinds)-[1-P(win)]*bet
