DCWildcat 0
Hahahaha.....Wouldn't call it the worst ever. I've lost money 4 or 5 times where I thought "I KNOW this guy has quads, but I have a full," and I justified some calls by saying that that was one of those hands you just have to suck up and lose a few extra bets on.All signs point to button having a weak ace, so if there ever was a time to fold a house to quads, this is it... wrto4556 0
right, the 77 hand. Not sure if I like the raise preflop or not...I limp unless everyone behind me is super tight. The river is interesting. Will worse hands call our bet?
MrNiceGuy 0
Must've had KhQh. (or 33, but I don't think he cold-calls 3 bets preflop with it). If so, he probably makes the crying call with the pot this big (although he really shouldn't; what can he beat that you raise preflop with?)I guess it comes down to, would he cap the turn with a 3-flush on board with just trip aces? If not, he either has the flush, A7, or 33. So maybe you could bet the river, since only specifically the case A and the case 7 would beat you. But I think it's hard not to check there; too many unknowns to put him squarely on the flush.
Whatever 1
OT:At party a couple of weeks ago I saw a guy catch his straight flush on the river and LAST TO ACT - checked. His response: "Sorry, I'm drunk"
DKE_XP120 0
Finished my exams last week... I now will enjoy 3 weeks of full time poker before summer session starts Good luck guys... No-Doz helps, and adderrol, but the add. has alot of bad long term effects, stick to NoDoz
Emptyeye 0
Well, button cold-called 3(!), then called on the flop, then went nuts on the turn, then checked the river. And I just now realized that a pocket pair bigger than 7s also beats you.He went nuts on the turn, despite the flush draw getting there. This tells me one of two things--either he's one of those fish I love to see in micro-limit who think only "ooh, I hit my big draw!" without paying attention to what else said card could have helped (Or what's already on the board), OR he's not scared of said flush for whatever reason. So the question becomes "would he cold-call 3 bets with a pocket pair bigger than sevens?", and, if so, "Why would he wait until the turn to go nuts when a scary-ass card comes for him?"Interesting hand, and I can definitely understand the check. Swift_Psycho 1
OT:At party a couple of weeks ago I saw a guy catch his straight flush on the river and LAST TO ACT - checked. His response: "Sorry, I'm drunk" :shock:I shared this story before, but I'll share it again because it's so ridiculous. Playing online, one guy I was against heads-up on the end checked on the river behind me (last to act obviously) with the nut quads. I normally keep quiet, but I couldn't help myself and I had to ask, "Why didn't you bet on the end?" Response: "I do a lot of drugs." Man, I turned away from the computer and the soda I was drinking exploded onto the floor...good times.Anyway, about the hand, I bet the river and begrudgingly call a raise. A flush will probably make a crying call to the bet, as will pocket 3's (in the unlikely case that that's what the guy has). A case Ace is all that you fear that can beat you. Kings or something aren't capping the turn.
