serge 904
Lets welcome the next superstar defenceman to come into the NHL from Saskatoon, SaskatchewanLUKE SCHENNSome observers have dubbed him the best shutdown defenceman to come along in a long time. He is the "human eraser" a guy who can deliver bonecrushing checks and makes the great outlet pass.Ironically 23 years ago, 4 years before Luke was born the Leafs drafted another defenceman from Saskatchewan in the name of Wendel Clark. Clark went onto becoming one of the most popular Leafs of all time.Luke is a little bit of a different player, however the mean streak and the aggressiveness that growing up in Saskatchewan is very similar to Wendels. In about 20 years from now, we will be welcoming Luke into the HOF as 9 time Stanley Cup Champion and a Toronto hockey legend. coesillian 0
will he ever be as good as McCabe?
serge 904
will he ever be as good as McCabe? He is already better than McCabe defensively..If he improves his offensive game, then lookout..Larry Robinson wont be able to hold his jockstrap.
strategy 4
I wonder if he's going to make the roster next season. it sounded to me like everyone expects only the top three to make the jump next year.then again, perron did it last year, and he was #26 overall...

serge 904
Won't this thread make Kyle Wellwood jelous?Too bad..He may not be a Leaf before September comes around..OR maybe he will be motivated to find his game.
runthemover 40
He is already better than McCabe defensively..If he improves his offensive game, then lookout..Larry Robinson wont be able to hold his jockstrap.only serge could say that a number five pick will not only outperform a legend who scored almost 1000 points as a defenceman but also will outperform him so much that he 'won't be able to hold his jockstrap'definitely a good selection though. I wish the Sharks had someone like him.
digitalmonkey 929
Won't this thread make Kyle Wellwood jelous?Kyle won't be able to read this. He has a hernia which is causing pain in his scrotum which is making his tear ducts work overtime which is blurring his vision which is prohibiting him from being able to focus his eyes. And he's gay.
