OK I'm in SB w/ A2 off. It's folded around to me, I call. BB raises. I call. BB is somewhat loose, I think he's raising to be aggressive heads up. Flop is A 10 A, 2 clubs. I check, he bets, I call. I want to get another bet on the turn from him, but with the 2 clubs I debate on leading out. Turn comes 3rd club, I check/raise, he thinks for almost the whole 30, says something about me hitting the nut flush, and folds. Was the c/c-c/r line right? Even with 2 clubs? I don't think he had a better ace or he would'nt have said anything, and probably would've called down.

Unless you are the one who has a chance at the nut flush, you shouldn't check/call on that flop, as you may be giving them a chance to make a flush, negating your moster hand (trip aces). Betting into the pre-flop raiser is the better play over the long run (unless you absolutely know he is going to bet after the flop no matter what comes, then you check/raise)

Ehh....HU into the flop, I think you played it fine. If it was multiway, I'd say that you probably should have bet into them.

Yeah, I would raise preflop with what is likely the best hand. Call if it gets 3 bet. I probably would have bet out, due to the flush draw on board. You don't want to give him "infinite odds" to draw out on you. If you choose not to bet, after his bet, I probably would have check-raised, but I could be wrong in that thinking.

I probably would be more apt to lead on the flop but I think you played it well. It sounds like this guy was trying to be aggressive so why not let him lead, especially if he thinks you might fold to his aggression Heads up I would not fear the flush as much as multi- way.I don't think he had squat,(or maybe he did have a hand but your aces were still best) just trying to buy it, but finally realized he was in big trouble when you check raised the turn. Your c/c on the flop led him to believe you were on the draw. I think the club on the turn was actually bad for you, in terms of winning more, since now he thought you made your hand

Ok so if I raise PF, and dont improve, do I call down? I used to do that but lost a lot of chips calling down w/ Ace high.
