OK so i haven't been on here lately cause a friend told me about Absolute Poker. They run freerolls every hour just about, and I've been trying to make enough there and then in the ring games to get a decent bankroll going. I've won about 20 in the freerolls (you get 5 for final table and 10 for 1st...2000 people tourneys kinda hard to make final 9). OK so anyway, due to getting rivered and/or cold decked for 2 days straight I was down to about a dollar before I turned that back into like 15 from Omaha and 7-stud tables. My holdem game has been way off lately and I wanted some feedback on a few hands. I'll post them in a second because my enter key doesn't work on this thing and the converter doesn't work for the Absolute Poker hand histories, and I don't want to annoy anyone with big huge paragraphs...er...bigger, huger paragraphs

Ok first hand: I'm at the .10/.20 tables trying to get a BR started. I realize this may have some sway on the hand but I'm more worried about my play than my opponent's. I'm Big Blind with JJ - one diamond. We get a limper, then SB raises. I 3-bet to isolate, limper folds and SB caps. I call. FLop comes 7A7 w/ 2 diamonds. SB bets and i just call. I think this was horrible. Either fold or raise, calling was horribly weak. I know this, I'm more concerned about the turn and river:turn is 6d. Now I have the flush and boat draws. SB bets and I raise. I'm hoping if he has like QQ or KK he thinks I slowplayed the Ace and folds, or if he has the ace he thinks i hit the flush and folds. But he calls. River is a blank and he checks. I bet hoping to get a fold. He takes almost the whole 30 seconds and calls. I thought this was a really good play at the time, and it almost worked. Now that I think about it if it worked I would've thought it was great and if he calls I look stupid. opinions?

I like raising the flop and calling on the turn. He has shown extreme strength, odds are he isnt laying this hand down. Raise the flop and see if he 3 bets. Maybe he will lay down QQ on the turn if u raised the flop, but I doubt it considering its .10/.20. I like folding better than calling flop.

I know the flop play was bad. I'm more worried about my thinking on the turn when the 3rd diamond hit and the river when I continue betting hoping he'll fold.

Sounds like a weak call to me. I like what you did on the turn/river

He had AK, which was exactly what I thought he had. I was sure his K wasn't a diamond (the Ace on board was a diamond), and it wasn't. I was sure he had AK and thought it was the only way I might could get him to lay it down. Was this a good play or only looks good if it works?
