Hi,
First post. I have been signed up for PokerVT for a week and really like much of the content! Especially the heads up SnG:s by Daniel. Since I only play heads up, I would love to see more videos heads up (both Sng and cashgames), both from Daniel and from the other pros.
The question I have for Daniel (and anyone else who wants to answer) is at what point is it time to revert from the preflop 2x raise strategy to the limp strategy? That is, how many BB should your stack cover? Also, when your opponent gets low on chips, I have found that a limping/all-in strategy might work best, since he is very likely to push if I only raise 2x pre. You agree, or think it is better to put more preassure on a shortstacked opponent with small preflop raises?

I would say that in tourney format HU limping becomes more profitable when the effective stacks are like -20bb's. Obviously it's player dependent, if you have an opponent who consistently calls pre and c/f's when he misses then minraising pre and c-betting small on the flop can work well.. At the same time you have to keep your range balanced, since you want him shipping his stack in when you have a hand you should raise certain hands pre. When the stack is around 15-20 bb's I like raising small with hands like 78s and all my big hands, while I limp hands like QJ or JT so I don't get pushed out pre. It's really hard to have one set strategy heads up since your read on the opponent matters way more.
As far as HU videos go I'll be putting up a ton of them in cash games as soon as the series is over.

Thanks for the answer. How about when you get your opponent to -10 bb's. Time to start shipping pre with all ace-x, king-x and other above average hands? Or is raising small still an option? (against a typical opponent)
Looking forward to watch your heads up vids.
Btw, was rooting for Sean Sherk in that clip you have attached, but must admit that BJ simply was in control the whole match. :/

heh, BJ is the man!
Yea with 10bb's I pretty much just jam or fold if I have the button and occasionally limp with hands like 78 or J9 or something. Again, depending on the opponent. The weaker the other guy is, the more I limp/shove and the less I fold the button, this occurs way more often live where people fold KQ or A4 HU with 10bb's sometimes. If I'm playing against an online type guy that makes calls with QT and shoves from the BB almost every time you limp, I tend to fold more buttons and just play the waiting game.

Sounds like I am on the right track. Btw, if you feel like shooting some HU sng's as well sometime, that would be cool.
