That's a pretty good flop. Pot is ~$199, you have ~$99 left. I can't see any other way to play this.

I'm no PLO player by any means. Just dabbling in the $.15/.25 games. But 3-bet seems uber-standard with such a good holding. Plus you price out the limpers which is what you want with AAxx hands (I think).

No, he folded after to see the floop. I'm guessing KK/broadway cards type hand.

Figured. But there's no way you can really get much value post-flop on that board unless he has a hand that beats you. Checking and letting him bluff is possible but he probably knows you aren't folding so he'd check behind and unless he hits a card that fills him up on the turn he won't be putting another cent in. Anyway, that was a pretty nice pot you won - you greedy git!

Heh, the highest NLHE i've played consistently was 1/2. The average pot was like $30-$40 at most tables I picked. At the two PLO tables I was at, it was $70-$80.

Not double suited, but yeah. Side question, if my hand is something like Ac 4d As 9d is this still a 3bet? Is it a 3bet only when my non ace cards still have good value? Or is AAxx always a 3bet hand? Normally I've been limping QQxx and lower, and raising good drawing hands and KKxx and AAxx. If I am raised with AAxx or KKxx type hands I'll usually just flat, and 3bet like I said, when xx = good cards. Is this good?

It depends on a few other intangibles (stack sizes, position, player who raised, dead money in the pot, etc) but you're in the right frame of mind. It's not an auto 3bet.I'd be a little concerned about where you say you're limping QQxx and lower though. Those are not limping hands - and your xx needs to connect in some way preferably with the QQ.

I'm not saying I'm limping every hand that is lower than QQ+. I'm limping hands that are playable, but technically worse than QQxx before the flop. If I have QQ37, obv I just fold.

I was moreso making the point that you don't often want to be playing QQ and less for set value. Also, as I'm sure Simo will tell you when he shows up, don't make a habit of limping in this game.

I was under the impression limping was ok, especially in EP. From what I understand, there's no value in raising AA/KK/QQxx type hands from EP because you'll basically get raped every time you dont flop a set.
