Ever Pat With A Queen?

On the last hand of the NL 2-7 event at the WSOP, Matusow stood pat with Q-8-7-4-3 against Lisandro's 9-6-5-3.Since any jack is a favorite against a one card draw (like at least 55%), isn't it a mistake to pat a queen in that spot (a close one, I aassume)? Does anyone know the percentages?I read Mike tanked before deciding to stand pat, and iirc he said that there were many bad cards he could catch and pair etc. He may have feared getting unlugky, but if you're up against a one card draw, isn't it better to draw to 8-7-4-3?Also, assuming an all in situation, does the same apply to triple draw with one draw left, or is it different since any one card draw would, by the third draw, be better on average compared to a one card draw in NL?

There are definetly times to stand pat on a queen. I'm not sure in this case it was the correct play for matusow to stand pat on the Q 8 7 4 3, because he had a pretty smooth draw to an 8, but lets say he had a hand like Q T x x x. If he draws now, hes drawing to a 10 vs lisandros 9, which would make him a bigger dog than standing with the pat queen. So basically if you feel you are drawing to a better hand, you should probably break the queen, if you feel like your opponent has a better draw you should probably stand pat.

single draw is very, very different from triple draw, and NL is very, very different from limit lowball. there's a lot more going on on that pat than simple odds.

agreed...I actually read the title "AQ" and I've stood pat with that before in NL single 2-7. Of course I've pat with a pair too but that was just a bluff.hi checky!EDIT: I just saw the no more bets part. that would change everything but why would there be no more bets!?
