I guess this is mostly geared towards wrto but I figured everyone could use this info. I practice decent game selection but it seems that the 3/6 full ring games at PP are getting tighter and tighter. Has anyone given the short-handed 3/6 games at PS, UB, or Paradise a try yet? PS has a $120 bonus through tomorrow ($600 for max bonus) so I figure I would give that a shot. In addition, Paradise has a $100 first time deposit and UB offers rakeback and first time deposit bonus' but has the fewest tables. From my experience, it seems like the short handed tables attract people that think short handed means you play every ace, paint, and any 2 suited cards. The PP 5/10 6-max games are really soft but the swings are just too big for my bankroll (350BB).

I havn't tried them, but I plan on playing the 15/30 at party poker somewhere down the line, so I want to get used to tighter full games.I also plan on playing 10/20 6-max so i think 5/10 6-max at party is my next stop.

Yea, I guess I should get used to the tight 3/6 full ring tables. I have been profitable there over 8k hands (yea, not much I know) but the 6-max tables are just much more fun and imho, profitable. People are just playing horrid. Some guy kept raising and reraising me and another TAG with J-high and no draws. Me and the TAG both had AA which made for an interesting hand as I almost folded when forced to call 2 cold on both the turn and river.I plan on picking 5/10 6-max at PP back up and eventually moving to 10/20 6-max at PP. I think I will stop at 10/20 6-max for a minimum of 100k hands before I move to 15/30 though (assuming I am profitable). Also, the rakeback at 6-max tables is great.

It would be good help to play some lower limit 6-max before jumping into the "animal house". The swings drive some players mad.Try it out. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, it actually is a very good idea. I just play shorthanded all the time so I look for reasons to play full.

it is much much harder to multitable 6 max games, the most you should play is 2, you are playing the player much more often and it requires you to pay more attention at each table, you can do many more tables at a full ring game, its much more boring but the variance is much less
