So I figured we could do one of those threads where you list (what you think are) the best ten tv shows of all time. A first place vote will be worth ten points and so on. I'll tally the votes as they come and modify the rankings here in this post. I'll put my votes in a subsequent post. Note that you can list any show you want, in any spot. But if you put "Home Improvement" or "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" as the greatest show of all time, prepare yourself to be called a fucking retard. Even though I like Fresh Prince, it is not one of the best shows of all time, in my opinion. So list away, and we'll see what comes.

Also, feel free to use both dramas and comedies, and dramadies, and anything in between. There are also no requirements for the shows. It can still be on the air, have laste 10 seasons or only two.

Oh, this should be interesting...I'll edit w/ my personal list.

Wait, is this our personal top ten, or the ten best shows historically? I mean, I Love Lucy and Mash should be on any top ten all time list as far as success etc, but I don't have much interest in either.

We are all so complicated, and then we die. We are a subject one day, with our vanities, our loves, our worries, and then one day, abruptly, we become nothing but an object, an absolutely disgusting pile of shit. We pass very quickly from one stage to the next. It's very bizarre. It will happen to all of us, and fairly soon too. We become an object you can handle like a stone, but a stone that was someone.

See, this is a tough thing to quantify because you aren't going to want to include a show that you loved 20 years ago and watched religiously, like Who's the Boss? but I'll try. And I don't think Sportscenter or Baseball Tonight counts because it's basically just a news program. I'd say it was something that you considered "appointment tv".

In no particular order:

Cheers
Seinfeld
Rescue Me
House
NYPD Blue
The Sopranos
The Office
Veroncia Mars (back off, it's my personal list and I loved that show. You're lucky I don't put One Tree Hill so shuddap)
M.A.S.H. (it got sidetracked the last two or so years, and I don't think I was old enough to watch first run, but it was a great show
Curb your Enthusiasm

Man, this is tough, like I said, I watched a lot of shows growing up after school. Couple of favs
Who's the Boss? Oh that Mona
Silver Spoons
My Two Dads
Facts of Life
Different Strokes
Webster
Family Ties
Blossom
Gimme a Break (not a huge fan, but that Nell Carter could shake it)
Punky Brewster
I make $31,000 dollars a year and I have a home.

The episode where Bill's mom starts dating Coach Fredricks almost made me cry, particularly during the musical opening where he's watching panel shows and making grilled cheese. I don't know why; I was just queerly broken up over it.
