For those who think they'll be playing quite a few of these, KHSPoker21 and I will be running a pool.

THE LAYOUT-

$25 Buy- Due By 15:20 est Saturday May 31st!!! (I PM'd BOB to see if he can hold $.. so ill know shortly.. until then just hang on to ur $.)

We'll use the Stars/FCP Open formula and you are best 10 point finishes IN NLHE EVENTS ONLY will be tallied.

Points = 10 * [sqrt(n)/sqrt(k)] * [1+log(b+0.25)]

Where:

n is the number of entrants
k is the place of finish (k=1 for the first-place finisher, and so on)
b is the buy-in amount in dollars (excluding administrative fee)

*for rebuys, total prize pool will be divided by # of entrants to get the buyin fee.

payout setup:
1-9 Entries – 70/30%
10-19 Entries – 70/20/10%

Ok so this formula freaks everyone out (props to FargopokerND), ez game tho. Here's an example taking Saturday's event #2 and assuming we're playing in it.

Points = 10 * [sqrt(n)/sqrt(k)] * [1+log(b+0.25)]

Where:

n is the number of entrants

b is the buy-in amount in dollars (excluding administrative fee)

So:

n= 1250 (let's assume that's how many entries we have)

k= 50 (we get sucked out on for a top 3 CL and club baby seals)

b= $15

Points we receive = 10 * [sqrt(1250)/sqrt(50)] * [1+log(15+0.25)]

After I throw it into my TI-83 calc, cuz college is ghey, we get 109.16 Points (rounded to 2 d.p.)

I'll be adding up everyone's points, feel free to do it yourself and make sure we're evened up. Also, it'd be really helpful to post what place you finished in.

I'm sure there wil be a thread for every event so just post there.

NOTE: The Rebuy events buy-in, b, for the formula will be calculated as the entire prizepool generated (let's say $12,000 for the $10r) and divided by the # of entrants (guessing 300 people). So the buy-in used for calculations would be $12,000/300 = $40 = b.

I don't think I am going to get enough NLHE events in to make it worth my while.

GL though. Win lots of thirds (since me and tehtoe are going 1-2 in every event we are in)
