Straddle Round 3 At Live 8/16

Long time Lurker...first of many in the LHE strat section...Playing a late night session at 8/16 at my local cardroom. This is halfway through three rounds of straddles as agreed by the table (needless to say action wasnt short at all in the game)..UTG staddles to 16, UTG+1 calls two bets, Hero is UTG+2 with QJss calls two bets, MP1 raises to 3 bets, SB folds, BB 4 bets, Straddle caps at 5 bets (cardroom rule is 5 bet cap in MN), UTG+1 and hero in UTG+2 and MP 1 call....4 handed to the flopPot 25 sbFlop 5c 9h Ts Flop action: BB bets, Straddle hand raises to 2 bets, hero calls, MP player folds, BB calls...three handed to the turnPot 31 sbsTurn: KdTurn action: BB checks, UTG (straddle) bets, Hero Raises to 2 bets, BB calls two bets cold, UTG straddle hand calls..Pot 21.5 BBsRiver: 5sBoard reads 5c 9h Ts Kd 5sRiver action: BB checks, UTG straddle checks, Hero Bets, BB calls, UTG (straddle) RAISES Hero.....???A few questions on this hand:1)first off how do you play this Preflop with cold calling two bets with one in front and then calling another 3 bets when it gets back to you on the 4 way cap?2) What about the flop play? I have postion this entire hand..should I three bet the flop in hopes of getting a free turn/river card with two overs and the OESD?3) What do you put the straddle hand on here at each stage of the hand. More importantly, what is he holding on the river that is strong enough to c/r with?4) How do you play this hand on the river when it gets back to you??5) What is the straddle hand holding? How about the BB? Keep in mind that this is as loose of a game as you'll see with light raising, as likely influenced by the continous straddling...Sorry if i messed this post up, i've been waiting for a good hand to post in my first one in this part of the forum...like i said, long time LHE player at all levels up to 15/30 with thousands of hours amassed...but always looking to improve, you guys know your shit....comments and suggestions on the hand and my first post welcome...thanks...

Definitely can't fold. I think if he has a set he pushes harder on the turn since you could be raising various 2 pair hands. He could have T5 or 95 here, but more likely he just has bare trips.A river check-raise is pretty strong after a bet and a call though, so I think I just call because if we pop it and are behind it will cost us 2 more bets than just calling.

my first thought is utg has 99 or TT, but both of those would usually reraise the turnmy next thought is he has AA, and figures you for KT or some other two pair combo on the turn, which would explain him just calling and c/r the river when he makes 2 pair. BB is strange, though I'd guess he has AK or maybe to a lesser extent something like JJ or QQ. AK might also be in UTG's range, too, if he's pretty aggressive. I think I go 3 on the river, because unless they can read you for exactly QJ, sets are reraising the turn. preflop, by the way, is an easy call on a table this loose.

Is it hard to put someone on QJ when they have been calling on a T9x board and the K peels and they start raising? If that opponent is competent at all he has to have QJ in the Hero's range. I slow down on the river and just call the check raise unless the villain is maniac who overplays hands constantly.

Could, but the hero is representing QJ on the turn (based on play from previous streets), you have to give it slightly more weight than the other hands if you are the villain.

not really. all those hands i mentioned could easily play it the same way. you could give it a better chance of being QJ, but not enough to not go 3 on the turn with a set
