potatoman 0
I would bet the turnAnd what do you do if he call/raises?I bet the turn too, since I'm almost never winning the hand if I don't.If you do check the turn, you have to be very sure the ace hit your villain and you're basically giving up the hand. Most people will tell you if you make a habit of doing this, you will be giving away money. But, if you trust your reads and you can put your villain on a very narrow range of hands here than the check is sometimes ok.I think most people bet the turn.
wheezer16 0
I would bet the turnI think you're right. I didn't figure him for AA or AK, so why not bet the turn? I think I acted like a deer in the headlights instead of thinking it through. QQ, TT, or JJ was most likely imo. I checked figuring I would call any bet on the river (which I did). wheezer16 0
I figured he may reasonably be shoving with QQ...I called...he turned over A9offsuit.

Appleman 0
If you would've bet the turn it would have been easier to fold as he would've most likely called/raised and I think that would have pretty much told you what to do.
AimHigher 0
Ignoring the outcome of the hand.If we check behind on the turn, then a bluff is part of his range in the river shove. But if we bet any reasonable amount on the turn, he doesn't have enough behind that we can fold to a shove. So therefore.. the correct line is...?

But if we bet any reasonable amount on the turn, he doesn't have enough behind that we can fold to a shove. So therefore.. the correct line is...?Forgot to pay attention to the stack sizes but this seems to be correct. If you bet about $60-pot sized and he shoves it would be correct for you to call. I still think fold as played as we don't know much about the villian.
Dictius 0
Pretty bad call by villain preflop and on flop.Unless I've seen villain go nuts in 3bet pots before, I would probably timebank/fold the river.
Dictius 0
I'm not sure what the best move on the turn is. It's a bit awkward due to stack sizes. You can't bet/fold cause of stack sizes and you can't expect to get called by a worse hand other than maybe QQ.So I guess I like checking behind the turn the best. Money022 0
I think we are completely handcuffed by the turn card and stack sizes.Have to agree there. I think since we can't bet fold the turn and we can't expect an ace to fold if they've made it this deep that the best line is to check the turn and call a potential bluff on the river or check behind. Although if the villian checks to me on the river I assume KK is good and will bet for value. He push just makes it gross.Side point, does anybody raise it more preflop? Make it closer to $30? boost21 0
I think you have to fold sinc eyou gave up gthe hand on the turn by checking, but also i agree that betting 60 on the turn would handcuff you into calling if he shoved, but if you bet like 45 on the turn and he calls then you know you are beat, because who would call 1/3 of their stack without and ace at that juncture of the hand, and if he does shove then you know your beat anyways, losing 45 or 50 even though its a fairly small bet it is a defensive bet, you can almost smell him making a bluff or leading out on the river no matter what card comes out, its just not worth the risk to lose 130 on the river, when you could stack him later, the small bet on the turn will tell you where hes at, with his stack size hes in no position to mess around with this hand unless hes a complete maniac!! psujohn 0
Given the fact that villain has < one PSB left I think we have to check the turn and call the river. There's not enough room for us to bet/fold and we're more likely to be ahead when we call than when villain calls.
