Jadaki 1
Live 10/20 mixed game (HOE) - 8 handedVillain is fairly TAG older regular player who likes to be tricky occasionally, willing to both slow play and bluff regularly if he thinks its right. He views Hero as decent player. I'm a little out of practice in my LH game so I wasn't sure about how this hand played out and wanted to make sure I'm not getting too out of line anywhere (preflop raise/turn 4 bet). Table was fairly tight during LH rounds, most my raises were getting fairly decent respect so I was opening my range a bit. Leaving river play off the hand because it's not important to my questions on the hand up to this point. This isn't a bad beat post either Dealt to Hero: Ac 4cPreflop: Folds to hero in CO, Hero Raises, Button Calls, SB folds, BB calls.Flop (3 players, 3.5bb): 9s, 4h, 4dBB checks, Hero Bets, Button Calls, BB Calls.Turn (3 players, 5bb): QhBB bets, Hero Raises, Button folds, BB 3 bets, Hero 4 bets, BB calls
Frez 0
Don't mind your open raise, esp if table has been tight. I like turn cap. Decent chance he has the last 4, perhaps more likely he has an AQ, KQ type of hand and peeled flop with overs. You're in a steal position, so you'd certainly think he would have reraised PF with QQ, and likely 99.FWIW, on river I'm going to b/c if checked to, and r/c if bet into. Unless river is a 4 of course.
RISEorFall 0
preflop is good, even if your image isn't tight.flop and turn are fine. i b/c if he checks and just call if he bets on river.could be 99 or maybe QQ if he doesnt 3bet preflop much, but i think more often it's Q9 or AQ or the like

Frez 0
both of these are hotWow, did Zach just agree with me? Meaning I may have got something right? Let's talk river - I'm willing to put in 3 bets, Rise says 2. I guess there may be specific cards where we make a big change, but unless the river is a Q or a 9, I'm confident enough to put in the extra bet. And jamming an Ace or a 4 obv. And jamming an Ace or a 4 obv.an Ace doesn't change our hand much, really. If he has a boat it's still bigger than ours. Anything else he has we can beat without improving. It might change how he plays his hand depending on if he has AQ or KQ, but doesn't much affect our hand. I just call the river because if villain is still leading after we cap the turn, i think he usually has us beat.the flop is very dry, so he might call with overcards like AQ, but it's also a good flop to slowplay. then again, if he was slowplaying he would probably c/r the turn instead of lead. Jadaki 1
FYI, the turn isn't capped. In this game (live at our casino) in a heads up situation there is no cap. He muttered something about not liking the way the hand was going when I 4 bet the turn.River was a J, villain check, hero bets, villain calls.
