Obv this should be answered before you make the reraise. If you arent willing to call the push, dont reraise. The question is, does he have a set, or does he have a flush draw? With the flush draw at least some players wouldn't raise to start with whereas sets will always raise with a draw on board, so stealing "the law of restricted choice" from bridge, probability of a set (based on actions, not random deals) is greater. Fold. (and dont reraise)

Good point about having a plan before I re-raised.....Yet I thought about it and I thought he may have 2 pair at best not a set. Limping the button with a middle pair HU is pretty bad, so I did not think a set was likely? Thus I thought there was a good enough chance for flush draw or just a donk with another TP I called....THe reason questio is in a HU cash game I snap call here but in the SnG...no reload.

2 pair is his most likely. But flush and straight draw aren't outwith the realms of limp/caller. I'd call too.

I would definitely OPR/Sharkscope him, but Copernicus brings about a great point about your reraise..You have to have a plan after you make it, and if folding is in your plans, you shouldn't be making it because then you are effectively turning your (pretty) strong hand into a bluffI would generally discount a set here though since most players, esp. at the 20 dollar level I would think, would be raising pairs HU on the button

wow. snap call in a cash game? I'd call much lighter in a HU sng.

Why would you call lighter in the first hand of a SnG when you are deeper than the first hand of a ring game? When the hand is over the game is over and you move to a new opponent and your chance to take the money of a possibily weaker player is gone? I am not disagreeing with you but, this is the main reason I posted the question.

I cant see T7,74 and T4 limp/calling here very often, whereas 77 and especially 44 might very well....okay maybe 74s, T7s. I dont think the 3 extra outs from putting him on 2 pair is that meaningful anyway. Say on average you have 4 outs when youre behind, youre still a 4.5:1 dog. Overall maybe your equity 1/2 of the time is 18%, and the rest of the time 60% or 90% for about 46% on average. flip it to 1/3 1/3 1/3 it brings it up to about 55%. This early HU I dont think either side of the flip is worth it.

Anyone think KT is possible?I think I'd talk myself into believing that.

Cash game or SnG, I'm not stacking off with TPTK this early in a HU match if I think I have any chance of outplaying my opponent over the course of the match. Maybe if I'm playing a HU match against Ferguson I'll stack off here, but otherwise I'll let it go and pick my spots. And of course I agree with the others that deciding to reraise to 480 here without already deciding that you're stacking off is pretty bad.

Here are the results....... Vilan had T8o and I won a quick $20but that is irrevalent. I think a call is the play that has a better EV and would pretty much require him to get lucky to win the match....I am not sure there are too many who play the first hand of a SnG like TP 8 kicker is the nuts......

lol. There is a swedish only site called svenskaspel. The government owns it. The games there are really weak and I've made a ton of money there. However I started to focus on tournaments and svenskaspel isn't good for that.
